I've been playing around with Reshade again.

    Results are:
    • Clearer image with better contrast
    • Better exposure and white balance
    • Subtle use of Vignette, CA & Bloom

I think it improves the image quality slightly.

    Profile is attached.

    Shaders used:
    -Bloom (very subtle)
    -Clarity (for clearer image)
    -Sharpen
-HSLShift (color correction / white balance)
    -Prism (very subtle chromatic aberration)
    -Tonemap (increased exposure)
    -Vignette (very subtle)

Reshade is a third party post-processing injector. Use at your own risk.

Does reshade only affect the load on the GPU?

Any tips on how to get this to work?

I installed. Set DX9. Set the effects path to game/reshade-shaders
Set the textures path to game/textures
    Turned off steam overlay.

Doesn't show up in game. Any thoughts? Tried home button and shift F2. Nothing.

Figured it out. I had installed it in the main game folder instead of the x64 folder. If you are using the 64-bit version, then you need to put everything in the x64 folder.

Looks amazing. Really like the clarity now.

A little more experimentation last night. The visuals are amazing but the effect on frame rate is really high. Using triple screens, I went from 150-170 at Imola to 85-105 using Reshade. That's a massive drop. I removed Bloom and Prism to try and keep the color change and sharpness but that only gave me about 10 more FPS.

Seems like Reshade is really resource hungry.

A few things that might help:

    • When installing, Reshade ask you which shaders you want to install. The best thing to do is to only tick the ones used by Georg in is preset. Because even if you don't use them, Reshade will load those shaders when you launch the game which can be pretty long. This will result in a much faster loading time of Reshade.

So your shaders directory for x64 users (X:\Steam\steamapps\common\raceroom racing experience\Game\x64\reshade-shaders\Shaders) should look like this:

    Bloom.fx
    Clarity.fx
    Sharpen.fx
    HSLShift.fx
    Prism.fx
    Tonemap.fx
    Vignette.fx
You can also delete the unused shaders.fx files in the directory directly if already installed.

    • Also, don't forget to activate Performance Mode. By default you are in "Editor Mode" which allows every values to be edited on the fly (and eats even more ressources). While in Performance Mode values are in a fixed state. It usually saves some processing power.
You can activate this mode either by the Reshade installation menu or directly via in-game Reshade menu. This should increase performance (how much i don't know ^^).

I didn't notice any difference in performance on my part before and after installing Reshade, but I'm using Adaptive Sync so locked to 60fps.

You mention that you can activate Nvidia Freestyle for RaceRoom with a small trick. How is this trick?

Wow, I really have to say, it looks better than ACC to me.

One thing: On Nvidia Graphics Card, go to settings and enable the full RGB spectrum. I don't know why, but with every driver update it goes down to limited again.
And in full everything looks much better.

I think, AMD Graphic Cards have the same feature.
