Anyone know how the knock out qualy works? There's nothing to say how many progress through to next session, my only clue was that when I went to drive, my car wouldn't start? I guess it changes as per how big the field is, I thought it may have ended up with top ten but seems not?

These options were implemented in the old DTM Experience games.

In 2013, they used a 4 round KO qualifying format. Round 1 featured all 22 participants, round 2 featured the best 16 participants, round 3 featured the best 10 participants, and in round 4, the best 4 participants did a pole shootout with a single lap alone on track.

In 2014, they used a 3 round KO qualifying format. Round 1 featured all 23 participants, round 2 featured the best 18 participants, and round 3 featured the best 8 participants.

I don't know how it works if you use smaller or larger fields.

When you set up your race, on the right side of the race settings screen there is a field called "qualifying type" with different options.

Single player -> Single Event - "Qualifying type" (and it's set to "Single session" by default)
