But seriously, I like the change. I see it as a sign that something is still happening behind the scenes and I hope this something brings new, good stuff to the game.
Not sure i like the green but guess ill get used to it pretty fast and like you take it as something that hopefully indicates good things for the future
I hope for more presence and commitment from the developers. If not, save yourself the trouble and let the dead horse die.
Well I first logged on in 2013 I believe and I swear it was a temporary theme then, nice to see soon™ getting pushed to the extreme!
Well given that the pants im currently wearing are purple and yellow i wouldnt be too bothered by that
You might not like to hear this, but forums are a dying medium. You will find that on discord our team is interacting with the community more than most other developers do.
Cant see forums dying out anytime soon, though. We are all being thinned out by too many platforms and choices. Still cant beat a well-supported company forum imo, but I suspect I am not representative of the herd.
We are still posting all big updates on the forum, but for daily interaction i would suggest using discord.
You are right, I don't like it and I realized this for a time now. No answer. It's kinda talking to a wall. It's understandable, you focus your attention. But for communication not answered questions are a disaster and lead to frustration. So why don't you shut it down? Wish you the best on Discord.
Forums serve their purpose as a place for long term discussion of specific topics, which we sometimes even manage to keep on track. They also serve as a place to post news and announcements. You can search them too. Discord is more like a live chat where stuff gets pushed back instantly and older stuff even becomes invisible. This is nice for instant quick interactions but not so useful for the rest, as it gets buried under ""hey guys", WTFs and other non informative conversation. If companies don´t post news on their webs then forums are still the best place to go, provided they are updated. One final point is google searches. These will always bring up forums for stuff like troubleshooting - good luck doing that with Discord.
I was briefly looking at the forums after dragging a NSU around Portamao Club. I was wondering when the forum banner would switch to KW Studios, especially seeing it on the Black Friday ad. Much sponer than I thought, apparently.
I agree, to me Discord seems to be a jumbled up mess compared to a forum, it's one long string of comments, making it difficult if not impossible to have a coherent conversation or find useful information. How it ever became popular compared to a forum I just can't understand.
