    What about not ranked servers?
Do you have any third-party antivirus or firewall software (other than Windows defender)?
    Can you try a VPN?

    Same here.
Only difference is that I cant even start the game up.
It started in November exactly 1 sec after I had made a Raceroom update
I have given up on this game because I dont want to try to change a lot of settings on my PC to try to solve problems caused by some game devs which are completely indifferent about users problems.

The problem started exactly the moment I updated Raceroom.
Not a sec before - but exactly the sec I installed the mandatory update.

And principally I dont want to install anything on my PC that is unnessesary.
Because if I installed a VPN that suddenly gives me problems in another situation then I I will have to do something to solve another problem caused by this unnessesary install.
The situation would be another If I was told before I installed Raceroom that because of this or that I would have to install a VPN to be able to run Raceroom.
Then I could decide beforehand if I wanted to buy and install a game where the devs obviously dont care to solve problems they are the full cause of.

Its not my net provider that exactly the sec I installed the Raceroom opdate did block connection between my isp and Racerooms server.;)
    Its the other way around.
Its Raceroom/the update that suddenly after lots of years problemfree connection started this problem.
Not my PC or my isp.

But thank you for trying to help to sidestep Racerooms problem:)

Is the system clock on your PC possibly not synchronised to the correct time? (RTC Problem)
There appears to be a certificate sync error between your PC and the server host…
….just an idea which does not involve configuring/installing anything - only checking the system clock and (maybe) setting it correctly.

Thank you for trying to help (both :)).
But I think my PC are correctly syncronized.
    Check pic - OK?

Start the game let it run until you get the error then post the mw transport and the game log from that session
    Log can be found in

    Documents/my games/ simbin / raceroom.../ user data/logs

    Thank you.
This was the last one from yesterday when I tried to start Raceroom up.
But was aborted with the message posted above.
But I agree that it has something about connection issue because when I answer OK to the code 13 message then my browser is opened with this register error message.
I would be glad if the problem could be solved but as said nothing will be changed on my puter because Raceroom has been working 100% before the upd.

Hehe I was a bit surprised of all the logs saved

The time sync settings seem correct but I wonder if there might be a problem with the selected time server (time.windows.com)…. Could you perhaps check that your date/time IS correct and maybe try a different time server?
This is just a theory based on the ‚error code 13‘ you are getting which suggests a RTC difference between your client and the server host….
I spend 45 years in troubleshooting networks but have no idea how the Raceroom Hosts are set up so I‘m being very superficial in my diagnosis.

Im thankfull you are trying to help me.
But my good man do you honestly think that exactly on the msec I updated Raceroom exactly on this moment my time sync failed.
Hehe but to show my good will I have just a few min ago taken a screenshot of googles time and my personal window time.
Not much difference me think - OK?
    ;)

    Fair enough! I didn‘t know that ‚error 13‘ was something recurrent…
My train of thought was that maybe your RTC was out-of-sync and that the update of the server might have installed a new certificate which was causing this error. That would have explained the timing of the error.
I‘m afraid that I‘ll have to leave further troubleshooting to others more in the know about Raceroom.
Hope you get it sorted asap!

( Microsoft error 13 re. networking: „Error 13 occurs when the date and time are set incorrectly on the host computer. The host uses a certificate to create a trusted relationship to ensure that the remote connection is safe. This certificate is valid for a specific date range, so if the host computer's date and time is set incorrectly, the certificate is deemed invalid.“)

    @simbro I like your reasoning.
    Because it sounds logical.
    Somewhat :D
But but. Eventhough Im not 100% certain then this Error 13 message doesnt come from Microsoft!
But is a Raceroom (or a Steam?) message (check pic).

Oh and the error isnt extremely bad - because while I before this error had 2 racing sims to enjoy then I now still have one.
But I admit that I miss Lakeview Hillclimb in some of Racerooms highpowered formula cars.:(

Hello @DonaldD - your forum account details didn't help me find your game.raceroom.com account.

It appears your machine is unable to handshake with the backend, some connection timeout and encryption failure.
Could be some firewall, or some change in your machine or router?

@J-F Chardon At least thank you for commenting on this.
My firewall Zonealarm does let Raceroom through.
I even tried to open more by a custom rule (pic) but no difference.
The reason I pointed out that the problem started EXACTLY at the msec Raceroom was updated was to show that nothing (beside the upd) was changed on my PC, modem or isp.

"It appears your machine is unable to handshake with the backend,"
Im not saying this could not be correct - but this possible handshake thing started EXACTLY when I updated Raceroom!
And to repeate myself without any change on my PC or connection.

Once again , maybe your router /modem or isp updated there security etc
Which wouldnt need you to have done anything
And for it to be a raceroom change/ issue that would normally mean it would affect all users

I fully take this humorously - because its not the end of the world.
Only end of driving on Lakeview Hillclimb - pour moi :p

But do you really (REALLY ;)) consider it possible that my net provider updated my modem settings on the exact msec where I downloaded Racerooms update?
Because I have to admit that I do not consider this possible.
In the real world at least.;)
