When running practice, and either switching to a replay and scrubbing through the time line, or changing cars, after about 3 laps Raceroom begins to stutter and then just stops. I've waited for a minute or two but the screen stays locked on what ever I was doing. To get out of it I have to CTRL+ALT+DEL and log out of my PC. This did not happen before the BMW M4 GT3 release. If it's a me, issue then I'll see what I can do. Please look into the matter. Thanks.
I think I caused it. I had the time of day set to 25x. I turned it off and everything seemed to work without issue. Sorry about the false alarm.
No, it's not only your problem. There's a memory leak bug in the update, devs are looking at it. For now, the beta-testers recommend avoiding leaderboards, competitions and practice.
I mean you can still try (perhaps without time progression if that helps on your end), ive spent at least 3 hours in practice mode since the update and havent encountered any problems yet
So far it looks like the problem occurs when you beat your personal best time with the current car and track you're driving. (Upd: Maybe not )
Best time means your overall best time, even from previous sessions. So unless you're setting your very best times, you're good, even without invalidating your every lap.
Not sure about that, but I understand it's a good way to reproduce the issue, so must be closer to "definitely" than to "unlucky".
Even setting a session best time caused the issue to happen. KW is working on the leak, so I hope they get a lid on it quickly.
To me that happens every time atm, no leaderboard challenge possible because it doesn‘t recognize a laptime and then crashes when exiting… Please fix it quickly, it messes up my schedule…
Yeah, now I'm not sure what exactly is happening, seems like the advice to avoid practice is legit. I'm getting this bug after the first complete lap, even if I go seconds slower than my best times...
Now there is an issue with the ghost cars on competitions being invisible - it reverts to your own best lap rather than the car you are following.
Last night I had zero issues. I was able to hop from car to car, set my best times, set the time scale to 25x and, watch replays. Absolutely no frame stuttering, or lockups. Thanks for addressing this issue quickly.
Well I did as instructed (removing .gh files) but in LB/Competiton mode (NoS VLN) the game has some hickups, long loading times, screen goes dark when switching from track to garage and vice versa, something's still compromised...
It seems one issue is that some competition cars appear as ghostable in the menu but in actual fact aren´t as they are not owned by me. Some are marked purple and not available yet others are normal but the ghost doesn´t appear.
