EDIT: Since I had a doubt, I tried to see if the issue was really the AI not choosing the right amount of fuel. I simulated a race with the same settings as above, but NO FUEL CONSUMPTION and nothing changed... in the race the AI is still very slow. WTCC 2017 – Portimão GP, AI level 93, tyre wear OFF, fuel consumption OFF Practice: 1:53.5 Qualifying: 1:51.7 Race – 8 laps: 1:54.0 (Again, all times are taken from the first two clean laps the AI complete — in this case, the three Volvos.) So it looks like a circuit-related bug, not something linked to fuel levels.
Track : Falkenberg Motorbana Classes : Super Tourers AI : 95% / 29 Issue : AI is slow I have to push at AI 100, usually I'm at 95, need readjust AI pace speed Will post and edit later the times
In every race, thee is always 1 A.I that loses the rear in the shortcut hairpin. I'm also adding the file for the lvl of of adaptive A.I but should be something between 100-102
A track limit revision for T7 at Sonoma is required; AI can get a much wider (and faster) approach there. Also, AI is still struggling at T1 and the bus stop in Watkins Glen; in general, it is a bit slow around this track and could use a boost. Plus: something is very wrong with AI in T1 of Daytona... Jesus Christ, AI hit me out of the race two times in a row there.
If in real life youre doing the same laptimes as another driver (in the same car), its highly unlikely youre gonna be 3 tenths faster in one corner and 3 tenths slower in another, probably more like a few hundredths here or there. Most of these major differences against the ai are simply down to what theyre (not) capable of given their programming and their different set of physics, not because the player is doing a significantly better or worse job on some sections than on others
Ai% 95 how many ai 27 car and track Formula 2 at Red Bull Ring distance 15 laps rolling/standing start standing start Issue is mostly in turn 1 at the start, cars always crash/have a turn 1 incident. But also during the race cars have difficulties going two wide, or while defending through the first curve. I hope this can be looked into?
Ai%: 95 how many ai: max (split HYC/GT3 DTM) car and track: HYC at Watkins Glen GP Inner Loop Rolling start Issue: AI is quite slow going into turn 1 (during whole race), Inner loop, turn 8 "Heel"
Hi Andi, Sure, I am willing to do that, but can you explain how lap times are helpful, as overall the pace is quite decent, it is just that in some corners the AI is braking too much or going to slow through the corner. I am not sure if sharing just lap times is helpful. Can you explain how? Perhaps sharing sector 1 times player vs AI could be useful?
I just did a race with WTCC 2017 cars at the Slovakiaring, and in a 10 minute qualifying, some of the AI cars were unable to complete their first timed lap because they returned to the pits to refuel instead. It happened to multiple Chevys and a Lada. There either is a problem with the default fuel estimations, or their initial fuel load for qualifyings is too low in general. AI difficulty was at 97%.
