Provided the price doesn´t go down I don´t see the problem myself. It´s not like DLCs are essential purchases but once they are gone they are gone so sometimes people need help to get off the pot and decide. That still seems way better than deleting stuff without any warning.

I don't disagree with the last part, of course :D i was just looking the other way, when a new deal gets secured, people will feel pressured to have bought it. And i know peoples reacttions on the internet, we can see them on a nearly daily basis on discord (and sometimes on this forum). :D

You´ll kbow by now it´s impossible to please all of the people all of the time and continue to make a profit! However the businesses that communicate "bad news" to customers in an open way should at least deserve credit for doing so.

In fact, when a sale is on the end date is always mentioned, not sure if ithat is by law but the same principle could apply to EOLS or indeed price rises.

"All game modes" means everywhere in the game.

But what we have is "all game modes except one part of multiplayer that around 20-30% of players care about the most". This nuance is important and is literally the topic of this thread.

Hiding behind wording is like if 5GHz WiFi in your router stopped working and the seller refuses to fix it because "All connections work fine: USB, Ethernet and WiFi".

When you pay for something, you are entitled to have a working product.

We can argue that OP's request of getting all the money back is unreasonable because ranked racing is only a part of the game, but the overall idea of getting a compensation for a product that our of nowhere lost some of its features is, inherently, not wrong. Although it does sound wrong in the current lawless frontier of barely regulated online services where your money are essentially treated as donations and the product you paid for, as charity.

It´s much worse when a whole game gets pulled and you can´t even run it offline but that´s a whole other can of worms.

In this case RRE is one game run by one developer and AFAIK that´s all they work on so it´s not like Apple or some big evil corp, they should therefore know that they can count their players in hundreds and that vexing them is not smart nor will it build the player base and there is a whole timeline of bad comms ranging from pulling store content with no explanation to not paying out competitions in a timely manner passing via changing car or track performance in the middle of a series of official events . There are of course good things like the new DTM pack and the online ones, the more recent youtube development videos or indeed the sales but people tend to remember the bad over the good.

The core product is not bad though and that´s what makes it all the more frustrating.

Was quite a good discussion in the discord about this.

But the main thing isn’t that it’s gone from ranked.
A lot of people will only play ranked myself included. So I’ve paid for the Ferrari and now can’t use it.
So an option to have store credits refunded and you loose access to the car entirely would be the most fair solution.
In contrast the way it is now you could think along the lines of “ok the Ferraris gone, I’ll buy the Porsche now, wait hold on what if they loose the Porsche licence next week and I’ve wasted another fiver ? I’ll just leave it then”

it just doesn’t feel very honest or decent of the devs to not give an option to credit a product you’ve paid for an can no longer use

Well if you bought the car in a DTM pack you could reasonably expect it to have been removed this year anyway as the new season is about to start and I may be wrong but isn´t there an EVO version this season?

It´s the same with the DTM 25 pack. it´s good value but you will only get this year from the AMG and maybe a couple from the BMW but all the others are replaced in 2026, which might be why it has been reduced.

Having said that, advanced warning would have allowed me to but Gt3 skins for the Ferrari so I could at least use it in private servers when they don´t allow older DTM series.

i think this really depends on how a car is licenced , some licences are x amount upfront , then x % for everycar and livery sold going to the rights holder , im not sure how kw does it
but in this scenario , you pay 4 bucks, rights holder gets maybe half ,
so you get a refund of vrp, you buy another 4 buck car , again 50% goes to rights holder kw is in a minus zone

just my thoughts , not based on any facts
