Dear drivers, after several months of tweaking I'm happy to share the first alpha version of AVUS for your beautiful sim R3E. AVUS was first developed for Automobilista2 and I have now added support for R3E. AVUS is a tool to Analyse, Visualise, Understand Speed. The tool was born when me and my sim-racing buddy started endless discussions about who was quicker in certain corners - I guess each sim driver knows these kind of talks. AVUS allows you to record any lap driven. One can select 2 laps to show the telemetry data like speed, throttle, braking, gearing, and steering in time-based graphs and heat maps. The core feature are track map overlays to compare performance across sectors - however not the default sectors from the sim. AVUS’ advanced sector comparison method analyses the telemetry and extracts braking zones, from one braking zone to another. And if you really want to analyse racing lines very precisely there's an animates 3D mode to relive your 2 selected laps, head-to-head, from a drone’s perspective. This looks awesome, been looking for something like Garage61/Popometer for a while on RRE, although this still seems to be in alpha? Has it been updated since the above post? And do you guys have a website? Discord server? Or a community elsewhere?
That is a fantastic tool. Will try it with my friends, because we also are arguing who is faster. So il it will surely be handy. Is there any tutorial about how to understand it? It looks pretty advanced.
