Hello, can someone explain to me the difference between the newer DTM vehicles and GT3? From DTM 2021, the vehicles will be identical to the GT3 in terms of year of manufacture, performance and engine. I know that the DTM has been running GT3 vehicles since 2021, but why do I have to buy two different packages or two cars? Via LFM it is set so that DTM and GT3 are approved for the GT3 class. I know this is newer than the car layout in the game. Does Raceroom really sell the same cars in two classes for different prices? I noticed this with the Ferrari 296 GT3, once GT3, DTM 2023 and DTM 2024, also with the MCLaren 720S once GT3 once DTM 2023, at least in the description DTM 2024 is also "EVO" This may be the case with other cars, perhaps a DTM/GT3 "problem"
Yes, they are the same cars, but with different liveries. DTM classes only have DTM liveries, while liveries from other series go to GTR3 class. Prices are usually the same. There's also this thing called "linked discount" that reduces the price if you have the same car in another class. Usually the price goes down to the price of a livery, 29 vRP, but some cars in non-GT3-related classes have a different discount, like 50%, 75%, 80%. And there are some rare cases where linked discount is not there. I don't know why it's like that, though. Maybe it makes it easier to secure licensing deals with the series like DTM or before that with ADAC, WTCR, WTCC, various Porsche cups.
they have different bop(balance of performance),which means they have different engine powers, vehicle weights, chassis heights and displacements,so they whould have different speed.but I'm not sure if the Settings in the game are the same as those in reality. Maybe they are just different in painting
in raceroom gt3 cars including the dtm gt3 cars are exactly the same , no difference in bop etc @Freezing Andi
ok,but I'm really shocked that this community is still so active now. I thought everyone had gone to play acc iracing or le man ultimate
Since 2013 when the game was released people claim yearly that the game is dying. yet it is still alive and well shaped. sure, not many people around, but more than before.
How come Crewchief handles the DTM GT3 classes different to the GTR3 cars? Doesn't that mean the PI-number of DTM 202x and GTR3 is slightly different?
That's CrewChief's issue, it uses its own list of classes to differentiate between them, and this list hasn't updated for a long time.
Crew chief isn't updated for raceroom anymore since dtm became gt3. and as far as i heard, it also will not be updated anymore for raceroom. And that's why CC differentiates between gt3+adac and dtm sadly.
