I have a problem where the AI can't manage the race start without crashing, and the same thing often happens during the race! This usually takes place on tracks like the Nürburgring, Norisring, etc. Could I change this using the adaptive AI? Thanks for the info!
T1 on most tracks is a problem for ai especially with tight turns (Norisring being a 180° corner for example). If something happens during the race, some carnage is alright (because it is realistic) but if it happens too often, it should be reported. But to come back to the problem: not much can be done about tight T1 carnage with ai. The only thing I prefer to do in those scenarios is to use rolling start, because the field is a little more spread when they arive at T1 (in comparison to standing start).
Hey thx - checked out both starts at the Norisring; in both cases as well as at the Nürburgring, Most, and the Hungaroring (other). The field doesn't make it through Turn 1 without a crash. Another thing I noticed is that an AI opponent approaches the corner at extreme speed, and then I get taken out by a "dive-bomb" from a sliding opponent! I don't want to be a pain, I love R3E,but this AI is really frustrating when it comes to testing!
Go for a 15min sprint race Freebie MP session at Norisring with a full grid next occasion Then you know what carnage really means
