Hi After a long time I wanted to play some RRRE, but whenever I try to join a session or try to host my own or whatever, nothing happens. Step 1: Start the game Step 2: Select "Single Player" / "Practice" / "Multiplayer" Step 3: Start a session Expected Result: I can start driving Actual Result: I end up back in the main menu I have tested different track/car combinations, I have tried verifying game files, I have tried deleting my entire User-Data folder in "My Games", I have tried reinstallting the game, running it with Vulkan, Dx and SteamVR. The game has worked in the past, but I wasn't really able to get some time in the past few months. None of the above attempts at solving it has helped. I recently upgraded GPU around christmas, but I would be surprised if that is causing the game to just "not load" anymore. Other games work fine without any issues. Hardware Specs: Motherboard: X570 AORUS MASTER BIOS: F39j (type: UEFI) Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 6-Core Processor Memory: 65536MB RAM GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti OS: Windows 11 Game-Drive: Corsair MP600 CORE XT 2TB The game as it is, is just a "Main Menu" Simulator for me right now. I receive no error messages or anything in the entire process. Unfortunately I cannot contact the devs over their official support link, hence the post here: Anyone got some ideas?
Do you still have this issue? Maybe something was wrong with the game yesterday. All menus in this game require the game to interact with the server, and yesterday was the update day.
Yeah, unfortunately I am still running into the same issue. I tested following content: Tracks tested: Zandvort Hockenheimring Zolder Brands Hatch Bathurst Laguna Seca Nürburgring Norisring Oschersleben Cars tested: FR Junior A110 Cup MX5-Cup NSU TTS BM M2 Cup Canhard R51 I also tested a "fix" that some people in the steam forums had suggested in the past for similar issues (deleting the tracks folder and then verifying the game files to redownload them), not sure how this would interact differently to reinstalling the game (incl. deleting the games folder and userdata folder), but it didn't help.
Just loaded the past few updates and it still does not seem to work. Same behaviour as before. I also tried completely disabling my windows- and network-firewall with no success unfortunately. Still can't load into any lobbies/sessions and only use the main menu. (I have also tried running it on Linux and a different system with windows) To be honest, I get the feeling that it is an issue with my account? If anyone got some other ideas, I am open to try them.
I have just tested something else. Fresh new account, fresh install on new device, same network -> game works My account, fresh install on same new device, same network -> game turns back into main menu simulator This looks like an issue with my account specifically. Edit: For further context. I just remembered, that I had an issue with buying content in November and it seems that there were issues with my Steam SSO to Raceroom at the time. (somehow 2 Accounts on the same Steam ID or sth similar) After reading up on the conversation I had with J-F Chardon, it seems there was still an issue that persisted, that I also couldn't login to the raceroom website, but I haven't received any feedback to that yet. (basically login in the game worked via Steam, but login to the website via Steam SSO just redirected me to the raceroom page and I couldn't access the store on the website. Perhaps the issue with the website login is in some way linked to the issue of not being able to start any sessions. When I start the game via Steam I can log into the store and see my correct profile.
Its been a month. Decided to try again to see if anything changed, but unfortunately still the same issue. Can't start any sessions at all (singleplayer or multiplayer). After starting/connecting anywhere I still get a loading screen only to be thrown back into tthe main menu after a few seconds.
if this is problem with account best bet is probably try to reach out JF again they look at this forum once a year so u probably should go to discord and try to get attention of some guys from staff there
I know you always exaggerate but at least try to keep it realistic once. Anyway, if for example testers spot something on the forum they also forward it. Which i will do tomorrow if i don't forget it.
If I remember well, you had a weird situation with two accounts. Could you DM me again the details and I think I will suggest that we look at your current purchases, terminate your account and transfer purchases to a new one. Would that work?
For someone who's not a dev or a betatester, there's not a lot of signs of that happening and the forum does indeed feel deserted, with something valuable posted only a few times a year.
