so you don't find out who won the competitions until after the year ends?

You can find that out the second the competition ends. But to find out who won the vrp draws can take (quite) some time

The last competitions paid out were in May of 2025. It won't be long before a year has gone with not only no payouts, but no comment from the company. Is there no one at KWS willing to take a few hours and get these done?

At this point I think the bit about VRP rewards on the competitions page should be removed.

No comment is not completely true. Although you don't need to appreciate comments like 'Will be done soon.' when it's not done soon, it still shows that competitions will not be forgotten.
It seems to me as if they want to do all at once, that will be more than just a few hours.

When was this said? Last I've seen is Captain Coffee promising to have them done in August. "Soon" signifies little, there's no scale to it. Like a movie reviewer claiming a film is 'one of the best of the year' which means nothing if there is no qualifier on it. By that metric I'm one the world's best singers.

I'm not bringing this up because I feel I'm being shortchanged. I won't be winning any competitions, and now and then the random draw fell on me and I got a couple of cars or a track and that was nice. I compete in these because I love hotlapping against a field of exceptional sim drivers, testing my skill in a competitive environment, and I've continued to turn out every round despite KWS dropping the ball and failing to pay out the rewards.

It isn't the players who have imposed this system on the company. It's the other way around. They have offered it to us, and then let it wither on the vine. And if it takes more than a few hours to do this then why is that? I suspect a dev house full of programmers can whip up something to pick the random draw winners. The overall winner is the driver in first place. The longest part of the whole process is coming here and typing out the winners post I'd reckon.

    Permission to speak!
For betrayal of the trust of the sim troops and delaying of several eternities the distribution of rewards to the heroes of the competitive front, I propose that Captain Coffee be demoted to corporal and from now on be given only tea (fruit, not herbal).
    Peace to all believers.

Yes, if this happens once then it is an exception, twice is unlucky but three or four times shows it is an endemic issue that should be dealt with. As some have already mentioned, it should not be too hard for an IT developer to figure out an automated system to do the prize draw, publish the winners and send out the prizes after each round of competitions with, at most, human intervention to check for any mistakes. If it´s done properly once then it will work forever and save countless man hours, which are currently accumulating as the snowball gets bigger and bigger.

@CaptainCoffee Perhaps from the next round of competitions in April going forward the prizes could be raised in line with inflation and new store prices, as 500 VRP nowadays will not get you a single newly released track or car at normal prices. More so factoring in the delay in awarding prizes.

The prizes have been the same since I started playing in 2019 and probably since competitions first started so 500 VRP ten years ago is closer to 1000 VRP by now.

Does anyone know when the TT Rating AND the license (A, B, C, etc...) gets updated? I finally made it to the top 10%, my TT didn't move and my license is still B?? I assumed it is automatically recalculated weekly or at least when the competitions end.
    Thoughts?

There was a review done a month or so ago IIRC. In the discord competition channel it was mentioned.

At least regarding competition payouts there is no discrepancy! Crickets in both media.

The prizes were already 1000 vRP few years ago but they were dropped to 500 vRP in 2021 if I remember well... :(

You know that KW don't need to give any money to us? No other sim just gifts DLC codes for being the fastest as far as I know. I'm feeling the opposite, I'm surprised that with all the free-to-play competitions and nowadays even ranked combos they still have those 3000 VRP per competition (which is 18000VRP per month, equalling 180€ and a 'loss' of 2160€ per year) spare to give to the community.

Ah but you see that´s the trap, the premium competitons often use newly released content so you are going to have to buy that with real money first to have a chance of winning it back in virtual game currency, so they win every time!

If the prizes were higher before then that further validates my suggestion to raise them in line with in game inflation as right now unless you are one of those guys who always leads the competiitons, you´ll just be getting enough to buy skins not actual cars or tracks apart from the fact there is a massive delay in processing the payouts.

It's a bit of a mystery. In general terms I think yes, top 10% will net the A rating.

How have you determined you're in the top 10%? I went through this a year or two ago, chasing the top tier. It seems to me you need to average top 10% over a long period of time, like six months or a year. What is your time attack rating? I had a look through a few random A rated drivers and the lowest rating I saw was 1502.

As for when it will update, yeah I don't know. It seemed to take a while for me after I expected to get it, but that might have been because I was jumping the gun and had not qualified, or they update it slower than every round.

That might be so, but this would be the value to the user, the cost to KWS is far less, and has to assume that the player would have paid for the same content if he didn't have the complimentary VRP. It costs the company nothing other than a potential lost sale.

And... I would even argue that giving free VRP might lead to more profits, as players look to use the VRP, apply it toward a larger purchase and pay the difference out of their pockets. Many will just grab the free skins or maybe they won a few times and can get free cars and tracks. But surely some -- including me -- use it as a discount on bigger buys with cash money

There are no multiple truths in regards to time attack rating. No one ever claimed it's calculated weekly or after competitions ended. At first they were recalculated like every 3 months and later they say it's done every 2 months.

Why would anyone buy the new content for the premium competitions when even if they win, they rarely if ever get paid? Unless they just want to compete and don't care about the prizes.

On the same principle no one would play the lottery or gamble. To win you need a ticket.
