Hello, I didn´t play for a while and updated and started the game today but it doesnt work properly. I noticed that the sounds of different actions like tire sounds, driving over a kerb/gravel and crashes just dont stop playing and add up all the time untill its a horrible noise. The Engine sounds work normal. It only stops when i pause the game or restart the session. I only tried different competitions and leaderbords so its not a car or track problem.
What I would try: - Verify Raceroom files on Steam - Delete audio_options.xml in Documents\My games\SimBin\RaceRoom Racing Experience\UserData\
Thank you for the suggestions, i tried both and sadly it didn´t help. Also what i didn´t mention before the music at the game menu is gone as well. (or was it removed some updates ago? i don´t know)
I use the latest Realtek HD audio driver. I checked my version and updated it when I read your post but it didn´t help. I also reinstalled the game completely. Still no sound and menu music.
Here are the logs. I also noticed, that i get a blue/grey-ish filter whenever the car stands still (screenshots)
Same issue on my laptop... i don´t get it Did i miss something? Is there a setting i should have changed after the Q1 update? Here´s the log from my laptop.
I didn´t copy anything from my PC if you mean that. But to be sure I renamed the *\Documents\My Games\SimBin folder so it created a new one but it didnt solve the problem. I also didn´t use any wheel/pedals/headset. Just tried a competition for some corners with my keyboard. As soon as a tire spins or locks (..etc.) that sound get stuck in a loop.
Since the latest patch didn´t solve this problem I´m just bumping this tread. I also asked AI(Genimi) for a possible solution and after nothing worked it lastly said it might be a backend problem with my profile and I should contact the support team. So Here I am.. or is there another way to contact the support?
I doubt it's a backend problem, this shouldn't influence the sound on your local machine. Are there certain programs running on both of your PCs?
Maybe the backend problem only influences the missing background music in the main menu? I don´t know... The only similar program is steelseries but i already uninstalled it without any effect. I have Win10 on my Laptop and a Intel CPU and Nvidia GPU. (its old) Onboard Sound + Nahimic (but also tried after uninstalling) My PC Win11, AMD CPU and GPU Onboard Sound + fxsound ( no change without either) Thats why I really dont know whats wrong.. there must be some sync between those systems but where...
No, i don´t. I use the built in speakers on my laptop but it´s the same with headphones. On my PC i use a different headset
