    I don't think so, I just said that just in case!

    It just doesn't make sense that you get the same problem on two different PC's!
    I'd be surprised if R3E is keeping your profile on their servers so Installing the game on two different computers would isolate a profile problem

    Have you tried playing the game with just the keyboard without a controller attached? eg wheel or game pad

    I don´t get it either..
    Since I have this problem I have been playing with my keyboard to check if the problem still exist. (like after a update or troubleshooting)

    Well.. I was curious so I created a new account (Steam + RaceRoom), uninstalled the game and reinstalled it with the new acc, but still no change.
    I really don´t know what else I could try.. I´m just going to wait for the devs to check what going on and hopefully it get solved in a future Update. Or maybe a future Windows Update will help..

    So you have two different PCs and two different accounts, right? Does it happen on all possible combinations, i.e. PC1+account1, PC1+account2, PC2+account1, PC2+account2?

    @Maskerader
    Not exactly. I only created a second account to check if it makes any difference.
    But I tested the combinations PC1+ACC1, PC2+ACC1 and PC1+Acc2 in which the problem occurs.

    @Andi Goodwin
    No, i don´t use any cloud systems.
    That´s why it´s so strange.. The only "connection" is via Steam, but since it also occurs in my test acc it´s not acc related.
    Maybe it´s the game files which doesn´t make sense when I´m the only one with this problem at the moment.

    There's one more connection between your PCs - your location and therefore Steam servers that you download the game from. I would try selecting a different location in Steam settings > Downloads and then verify game files (or even delete the game first and then re-install it). If it solves the issue and you tell us what location was selected before, maybe the devs can push an update to that server? If it's even possible on Steam.

    Normally I use the Germany - Frankfurt Server.
    What i tried:
    - verifying the files via Netherlands = no issues
    - reinstalling the game via Luxembourg = no change :/

    Thank you for that idea. It was worth a try

    Try this:

    Sample Rate Mismatch causing Buffer Underrun
    If the game engine expects a standard audio frequency (e.g., 44,100 Hz or 48,000 Hz) but the motherboard's Realtek driver is set to a high-fidelity studio quality rate (such as 96,000 Hz or 192,000 Hz), the game's sound buffers can fail to clear properly. The pointer that tells the game "this audio file has reached its end, delete the instance" miscalculates the time length, causing the file to restart infinitely while gameplay forces new instances to trigger.

    The Fix: Reset the system audio sample rate.
    1. In the same Properties window for the playback device (from Step 1), navigate to the Advanced tab.

    2. Under Default Format, change the drop-down menu to 16-bit, 44100 Hz (CD Quality) or 24-bit, 48000 Hz (Studio Quality).

    3. Click Apply, then OK, and restart Steam and the game to test.

    I also tried that already. I cant go higher than 24bit, 48000Hz btw. but i also tried lower settings and that didnt chance nothing ingame.

    Here´s a little list what I tried already:
    - Verifying files / uninstall / reinstall the game
    - Update Sound Driver (Realtek)
    - Check if the problem occurs on another computer -> my older Laptop (Windows 10), different Hardware, no headphones
    - Check with a second Steam + RaceRoom account
    - Reinstall my PC (Windows 11)
    - Change Steam Download Server
    - Deleting/renaming Raceroom config folder (C:\Users\MyGames\Simbim)
    - Check sample rates 24bit, 48000Hz
    - Check if surround sound or other sound options (Windows) are active
    - Using Sound Software? I normally use fxSound, but only on my PC. Uninstalling this software didnt help.
    - Change Ingame Sound options: Stereo - Mono - Headphones
    - Change Ingame Sound volume
    - Change Ingame Graphics: High - Low - Particle Details off
    - Start game with DXVK
    - Deactivate Steam cloud
    - Start game with different parameters: -cefNoGPU or --disable-gpu-sandbox or -force-64bit -audiothread

    Little reminder what my problem is:
    - after Q1 update
    - No music in main menu
    - sounds like blocking tires, crash, driving through dirt / on kerb play and repeat endlessly
    - i noticed that those sounds get replaced by the latest action
    Expample: I block my tire -> Sound loops... I block my tire again, -> the looped sound gets replaced by the latest blocked tire sound which loops now
    - engine sound always works properly

    No, I only have a Wheel that I use on my PC, but since I have this sound problem i didn´t even plug it in and just use my keyboard.
    Generaly I don´t use my laptop to play this game, I just used it to check this problem when I´m on the go

    Trying it on both your laptop and pc was a great choice, but since the issue happening on both, it rules out hardware, drivers and windows as being the problem.

    I assume you’ve checked this doesn’t happen in other games?

    It does appear to be environmental to your computer and/hardware. Sorry if it has been asked before, I have missed it, can you list your computer hardware and overall setup? Maybe posting a dxdiag?

    Found you other post about a grey-ish thing when car is standing still, have you tried both dx and dxvk ? Probably an AMD thing, I would assume. Check if you are not enforcing any post effects in the AMD driver, leave things to default or to let application decide.

    @Maskerader
    I reinstalled both software but nothing changed.

    @J-F Chardon
    Maybe the grey-ish filter was related to CrewChief. Since I reinstalled my Windows and didn´t use CrewChief yet it didn´t happen again. It wasn´t a big deal anyway since it didn´t change anything in the gameplay. It´s just something i noticed.
    Also my mouse cursor has sometime a colored square around it or it´s sometime my regular windows cursor and not this raceroom style. But I didn´t mind to much about that since everything else worked. Only this sound problem is freaking me out..

    Have you checked my logs maybe? I´m just curious if you can see that sound loop in there somehow.

    Here´s my DxDiag reports for PC and Laptop
