I tried through Steam, but it ended up as some clip in some format... Or only with external software, and which one would you recommend to me? For my very simple use case i just use something from nvidia that i think was already pre installed. Just press alt+f9 to start and stop a recording and thats all i need. No idea if there are better options out there if you wanna get a little more creative tho
What about disabling ghost cones and bringing them to life with some colliders and some physics? Those moments always break a lot of immersion in VR...
What about reducing the friction coefficient of grass surfaces? In the DTM 2016 competition at Brands Hatch, I was able to go wide in Sheene Curve, touch the grass and just go on with my lap. As far as I understand physics, when the outer wheel touches grass, you won't be able to turn that well. Or the car starts to turn more than you wanted.
Not 100% sure but on the outside of that corner isn't there stone where crass can grow through? Just like Graham Hill Bend and Westfiel Bend? So tire should be fine and not really dirty.
This is not a feature, and if there's a general issue with grass, it requires more than just one incident to prove that.
Yeah, you're right. I thought of 'feature' as a single aspect that improves the quality of the sim. A seperate physics thread seemed a bit too much for me right now. A feature could be an option to switch between 'grippy grass' and 'slippery grass' like you could (can?) do in some (all?) Gran Turismo titles. Not 'realistic', but could have similar use cases as a reduced damage model: 'endurance' races where you don't want to have too many crashes and want to survive.
Suggestion on Easy Improvement on Ranked Race There are still many players competing with respectful manner in Ranked Race. I usually attempt to mark them as friends in RaceRoom. Here are some tiny improvements to improve visibility on Ranked Race contestant: 1. Show the number of friends that register for a Ranked Race in Ranked Race list (next to the total registered players) 2. After entering practice session of a Ranked Race, show MP Rating and MP Reputation of every contestant 3. Allow us to build a Grey List of players. And, marking "Friend" or "Grey" next to the player's name in practice session of a Ranked Race
The purpose is to provide more information to us for judging the risk of a Ranked Race. No formula for MP Reputation and MP Rating is perfect. For example, I hate the -9% MP Reputation penalty for those who cannot complete 1st lap for whatever reason (disconnect, game crash, engine failure, etc). But, I think this heavy penalty has a function to manage players' behaviour in the 1st lap. But the limitation are: 1. The game server cannot differentiate between disconnect / game crash from mis-conduct action. So, the compromise is to "punish all". 2. The penalty is useless for those who don't care of MP Reputation. I am not blaming on players who look for fun (I mean the fun of Mario Kart). But, it is better to separate players with different goal into different sessions of Ranked Race. I also enjoy Mario Kart in Mario Kart game.
Therefore, the multiplayer beta ranking list should be ranked in order of Ranking (rating * Rep%) not only rating. In this way, Rating and Reputation become equally important. This could also be implemented in the in-game ranking.

Use less kerb. This is not "some physics glitch" it's a result of relatively narrow track, high centre of gravity and a lot of grip. Have to be conscious of what you're asking of the chassis and not just hammer every kerb, especially if they're in off camber corners.
This looks different than MS_Racer's video. Tarquini hit the tyre at the apex of a corner and the right side of the car jumped much higher than in MS_Racer's case. I'm not arguing that it can't happen, but from what I see in real life videos, it usually reguires much stronger impact than in the game. Maybe there's not enough of chassis flex in the game?
I took a quick look at your profile, respect for the progress. Your reputation is impressive, one of the most proper driving styles in the whole game. And not at the expense of your rating. Imho
