Good stuff! It's going to take a little time to get the hang of the Genting Highlands track. I have to change how my mini map is displayed. (It's a Me issue). I wasn't prepared on how agile the Porsche Carrera Cup cars are. I took one to Macau (Nice update BTW), and when I got to the Melco hairpin, I got on the bus-stop mark and turned the wheel as much as I could and nearly idled through the turn. Imagine my shock when I ran head long into the guard rail on the inside of the turn. LOL. This car has Go-Kart turning radii. I love it>
I have bought the Drift car, but I cannot figure it out how to drift. Anyone can guide me how to start? There are some topics I would need help in drifting 1. I noticed that the steering lock is over 40 degrees now, what steering lock should I use for my G29? If G29 is not suitable, which wheel is better? 2. Should I purchase a handbrake as a drift beginner? I also bought Genting track.. I love street racing like the following in Genting
You can use a button for that. To start a slide you don't always need a handbrake, you can use clutch or even stomping on the gas after a hard turn-in. Is this what you're having a difficulty with?
I am having difficulty in controlling the slide, I always either not sliding or sliding too much. I will study more in youtube
Are any of the drift cars H-pattern? I don't have a sequential, and its tricky using paddles with these cars. Looks like that is a no.
I guess (but have never tried) you could create a new steering preset where you map 3rd and 4th gear of your h shifter to shift up/down and remove any binding for neutral. Then you could sort of use your h shifter as a sequential, have it in what would normally be neutral while driving and manually move it to 3rd/4th and back to "neutral" to shift. Dont know if in practice thatd actually be an improvement over just using the pedals tho
Apart from the five missing tracks on the 2024 (and 2025) calendar, I noticed that the Raceroom store states that the car is "still free of ABS and traction control". However, the official IMSA rules suggest otherwise: Source: https://www.imsa.com/wp-content/upl...24-Technical-Regulations-REDLINE-03012024.pdf
Yes this is true, but we want to avoid having another only slightly different version of the car so it'll stay as it is for now.
Tbh never even occured to me to run anything but factory abs But then id feel like im driving a different car than the ai or the other players which im not a huge fan of either. So for now im glad alex found a reason to keep it without abs
Could the track length of twin forest be sorted out for the next update? The store and track selection say its 1.5km, the promo says its 5.1km and realistically neither of those are accurate and its more like 3.7km
Hello, I just realised that you can select more than one lap for a race on the Genting Stages, which is bad because it doesn't work (of course) and is generally pointless. Maybe you could implement that the lap count is automatically set to 1 when choosing one of the stages.
Am I crazy, I cannot find the RaceRoom Raceway Drift track in my list of tracks. Does it have to be purchased?
As far as I know it should be show up as another layout for RaceRoom Raceway and doesn't require a purchase. Edit: seems like I was a bit too slow with my reply.
