Apologies in advance for posting this as a screenshot - for some reason the forum keeps blocking my post as spam. I hope this solves at least one persons problem connecting to the servers!
Ive been suffering from this without a clue to how to resolve this till i almost gave up on the game, ive alwasy suspected it was my internet connection but i have a very fast fibre connection as well .. thank you so much for this!
Did it work? Did this issue start out of nowhere or it started happening after a change, like a new internet?
I haven't tried as I'm not really a tech savvy person and the problem for me was intermittent, sometimes i could log in and sometimes not... i was able to do so yesterday so i haven't tried...will update once i get the chance to
Its weird if this is an issue and the developers are not doing anything about it...disappointed finding out this was an issue after buying the whole game
What exactly do you mean by "this is an issue"? The game getting stuck at loading is not "the" issue, it's only an end result of various possible things going wrong, including those way outside of the devs' scope, usually with internet, but not always. Like the opening post, for example: the issue came from how internet hardware was configured on the ISP's side, it wasn't a bug in the game or something. Or in some other cases, an antivirus has gone wild and started blocking the game's files. This thread is a bit misleading as it makes it look like this is how you solve this issue, while in reality it's a solution for a specific situation and doesn't apply to all other case where the issue is caused by something else. BTW, developers are aware that this started happening more often recently. If they manage to find what they can do on their end to circumvent the issues on the internet, they will do it.
\What do i mean by an issue?? If spending 130 euros and your game doesn't load isn't an issue for you regardless, it is for me, i have almost every other sim and it doesn't give me grieve as they load and i can play it, I'm a end user, if i have to be a tech wizard to get the game to work and load normally as the other games all do then it is an issue for me and it should be highlighted... i cant say more if it isn't for you... Quote-"BTW, developers are aware that this started happening more often recently. If they manage to find what they can do on their end to circumvent the issues on the internet, they will do it." So why are they aware of this happening more and trying to find means to circumvent and trying to fix it if it isn't an issue? i pay for game and if it doesn't load when every other game does for me.. IT IS AN ISSUE BRO
When I said "it's not THE issue" I didn't mean that's it's nothing and you should just accept it. You saw one solution for a specific situation and seems like made a conclusion that the devs decided not to do anything. So I just wanted to explain that this is not an isolated issue with a readily available solution that the devs can, but don't implement. It's sort of as broad as "my car breaks all the time". Unfortunately, always-online games have a higher probability of getting an issue running because it's not just the code and how it runs on your PC, but your internet connection and game servers are involved in the process. Also, it doesn't matter how much you pay for your internet connection. Expensive connection might guarantee that the connection from your PC to your ISP is good, but doesn't guarantee that everything between your ISP and the game servers will be good too.
it be good if you could give your full pc specs hardware anti virus things you can try try a vpn (windscribe and proton offer free versions) check your firewalls and antivirus Andi
I don't know how this is relevant as i have totally no issues with loading and playing any other game, but if it makes a difference im on Windows 11, amd r7 7800x3d and 4080s with 32 gb 6000m/t cl30. Im on a 5gb fibre connection and i dont run a vpn cos every game i have loads perfectly without the need for having 1. I don't run a 3rd party anti virus apart from windows defender.
if you could try a vpn , it would help with trying to find a solution windscribe and proton do free versions Andi
Thank you SO MUCH!!! I`ve almost lost my hope to race in best sim! Let me kiss you! Let me eat your sss!!!))))) You make me happy again! That`s so much!!! You can ask me for everything!
The fix originally posted works for me as well, many thanks. Note that you should add store=persistent at the end, or it will revert to the original setting on reboot. Mine looks like this: netsh interface ipv4 set subinterface "Wi-Fi" mtu=1500 store=persistent
Why 1500? Isn't the idea of the fix is to reduce it from the default 1500 to something smaller because 1500 didn't work on the guy's internet provider?
my mtu was originally set to less than 1460 and was hanging on the loading screen. When I set it to the default 1500, it works. I use TMobile Wireless ISP, so it's different from the original poster. The real point of my post was the store=persistent, not so much the mtu.
