It looks like I can purchase the ADAC 15 pack for 512 vRP (because I already own most of the cars), which I guess is pretty good, seeing as the Bentley alone (with just the one included GT3 livery) would be 349 VRP, but have held off purchasing in case there is actually going to be a full ADAC 2015 Experience eventually - can anyone at Sector 3 confirm whether this is coming or not, or is it just the car pack for ADAC 2015 this year? If just the car pack, why did DTM 2015 get an Experience, but not ADAC this year? How can we race the ADAC 2015 cars in a championship vs the AI with ADAC rules, driver changes and pit stops?
hehe - no... the red one was introduced in the Spa 24h-Race. The blue one was used in Blancpain Sprint-Series...
You know what?If an Experience gets released it will most likely be Steam DLC and it will cost 20-25 euros. If you want to pay 25 euros and not 5,its your choice...
Same here. Staying on the EXP 2014. And the second thing what is anoying is the "space holder Display" in the new Bentleycockpit.
Well I'm not going to pay that, in the past ADAC 2013 Experience owners were able to upgrade to the ADAC 2014 Experience using vRP for just a modest cost, why not the same for a 2015 Experience? Would Sector 3 care to comment?
Forget about that, i ended up buying everything anyway, i'm just like a baby in a candy shop. You can think whetever you want, i can too and express my feelings about something. Never said it isn't simulation, i've said it feels all perfect but too forgiving, not dramaticaly but that's it. I have amateur racing experience and IMO there is slightly too mutch grip in all the cars. There is no need to argue, no one asked you, it's declared in the physics video itself: tires are a little more forgiving than reality, it doesen't mean it doesn't feel good, it means it's little more forgiving than reality and it shows.
I was gonna buy the Bentley alone for Gt3 but at 349 for that or 512 with discount for the pack + 75 for a Gt3 skin, no brainer for me. And this game and pricing model just sucks you in, i wasnt going to entertain it, but its hard not too!
Unfortunatly for S3 i wont by the pack. I own most of the cars in the GT3 serie plus ADAC 2013 and i refuse to pay for liveries. That being said, im very happy with the Bentley except for one thing: the cockpit display. I wonder of S3 ever get the time and resources to update all displays to manufacture standard with multiple pages with different info...and again...so many wishes
How much is the ADAC 2015 pack if you buy the GT3 Bentley? Trying to figure out what to get. Since ADAC 2015 isn't an Experience I don't see the point unless we can choose to combine the GT3 & ADAC cars whenever mixed class racing comes around to allow for larger fields without duplicate liveries.
Well excuse me for discussing on a discussion forum, my bad, won't happen again. I didn't argue with you, I merely asked you what your claim that there's too much grip is based on. As Karsten explained in the bit you refer to, there are reasons why simulating the rl data 1:1 wouldn't work and the key word in all that is authenticity. If you have to make sacrifices in order to make the driving experience more authentic then that's how it is and it doesn't automatically mean that it doesn't successfully replicate the experience/feeling of driving such cars. And nowhere did he say that the griplevel is the (only) factor they been working on, there's many more variables at work here, so again from my pov just saying the grip's too low without any rl reference just isn't good enough for me. (Appologies for "arguing" again) Just bear in mind that this game/simulation is made for more than one person so they will never be able to cater everybody's needs and wishes.
I just went back in to the store and the price has now corrected itself to 75vrp. A no brainer for me to buy the pack with all the liveries plus the Bentley for 587vrp as against just buying the car in GT3 class for 299vrp.
Again, the video clearly states: "to give it a more gamey feel" i'm not reinventing the ball, just quoting the physics engineer words. Now, i personally do not want a more gamey feel, but more of a simulation feel. I'm i allowed to express these feelings ? Even with the new physic that are 1000X better than before and it all feels incredibly real and the player is perfectly connected to the car, you can still do crazy stuff with alot of speed and corners(when you drive over the limits) because the tires hold the grip too mutch (always IMO and if i am allowed to criticize something i'm supporting consistenty): in reality you would end up spinning 360° and hitting a wall after a long slide. Or you ill not able to stop during the brakes at crazy speeds, but loosing the front or the back and spin due to too mutch weight tranferring too fast (depends on the car). Just look at the speeds, it is difficult to figure when in front of a monitor. I sincerely hope this aspect gets slightly tweeked towards the simulation to enjoy it more than i am, (and i'm already enjoying it ALOT).
I used to spread the gospel of the sim/game difference (made me feel so superior, especially to my old GT mates). Then reality came and smacked me in the face, I mean the real reality, that is, that all of them are video games; exciting, immersive, high tech... but video games.
Agreed 100%, still you can always try do to something more close or not. It's really a matter of intentions. These guys at S3 show incredible competence in simulating vehicles, hands down the best on the market. It's just that they wish to keep it more forgiving then it should in a complete simulation.
Cool. But he didn't say that, he said "put in a little bit of play...the tyres have to be a little bit forgiving..." And "play" can bear a double meaning, as in leeway, latitude, margin. But I'm not trying to start splitting hairs here. If that's how you feel, then that's that. Just don't expect them to change things drastically based on a minority opinion, especially not on short notice (been there myself more than once).
