Hello community! I have tried Manual DOF in replays using "Free flight camera" but I do not obtain nice results. As I think manual DOF allows you to customize the DOF during game replays, changing the blur effect, and things like that. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I have activated the DOF option in graphics configuration, I have a key activated (Bind) for Manual DOF and I've restarted Raceroom after those configuration changes.

After restart I see DOF in the replays, but very slightly.

What I'm doing wrong? What I should expect of this DOF?

    Thanks!

When you press the button you binded for Manual DOF you'll see a list of hotkeys that adjust DOF settings.

Thanks for your fast response. You are right. Ive read about that a list of controls should appear on screen, but I'm afraid to say that I see nothing when I press the key I've binded on my keyboard for "Manual DOF"... not sure what is going on.

Also I would like to say that when I exit the instant replay, and I start to drive again with the cockpit view, in the screen I see the message "Manual depth of field: off"

    Strange...

Maybe you binded it to a hardcoded button? Try some letter.

I hardly know what this thread is even about so disregard if not helpful but have you also tried when loading a normal replay after a session is finished to rule out the issue is with the instant replay?

Sure, I've tried to bind "C" and "M" with no luck.

Many thanks for the idea Nico. But yes I've tried both, during game (Instant replay), and in the main menu using saved replays in my hard drive.

The question is I see some depth of field in the replays (For example hands of the driver slightly blurred out), but I do not see any DOF controls/interface on screen when I hit the binded key. So this is even more strange...

Anybody could send a screen capture of the DOF controls?

    Thanks everybody!

I think the DOF control message got lost in the HUD update. The keys should be those if you have a numpad:
    Num7 - decrease blur amount | Num9 - increase blur amount
    Num4 - decrease aperature | Num6 - increase aperature
    Num1 - decrease focal distance | Num3 - increase focal distance

Confirmed that no DOF menu during replays even activating "Manual Depth of Field" feature.
    DOF Works but no menu.
And now... what about motion blur? I see no motion blur during replays, (when I pause the replay to make a screen capture)

I think it's good that you can, without changing the graphics settings in the menu, look at something with (let the replay play) and without (pause the replay) motion blur.
I can tell you how I do screenshots with motion blur - it's a bit more work, but always delivers perfect results in my eyes. First, I adjust the camera exactly how I want it on a certain frame. Then, I start a video recording of my screen, go back in the replay for some seconds and let it play, usually on 1x speed. You can adjust the amount of motion blur by adjusting the speed of the replay. When the frame I want to capture is over, I stop the replay and the recording. I can import the video into a video editing software, find exactly the frame I want to and export it.
The other option is to let the replay run and do as many screenshots as possible as quickly as possible - and the pick the best. :D
