I've played Raceroom for years but recently I'm having a random problem with major stuttering. It happens randomly after a certain amount of time, or at the start of a race/session. The game is unplayable and I've caused many incidents due to this. The framerate shows quite high when this happens, so it's not a graphics problem. And as I've said, it works fine for a while before this happens. I've already checked the installation integrity and also completely uninstalled/reinstalled. No changes. Please help, as this game is no longer useable and I've invested much money into it.

Any help would be great. I tried it again and this time got most of the way through a race before it "crashed". See video.
There´s an option on Steam in option preferences to show on screen not only the FPS but the RAM, CPU and GPU occupancy and temp. Maybe make a video showing those in order to see if there is an obvious bottleneck causing the stuttering.
Try without that overlay. Also disconnect all your driving devices, reboot your PC and try without any of that, just keyboard and mouse.
Does it happen in other games? I had the same problem when my laptop was overheating. Sometimes it happened every second lap, sometimes randomly often. Once it happened to me on the final stretch of the Zandvoort in the competition (DTM 92), I couldn't see anything, I was just driving straight and I gave my personal best time overall. Great curiosity! Only that in my case the framerates were dropping drastically... P.s. I incorrectly addressed the post, in response to grole00
Well I just completed two races and didn't have the issue. Afterburner showed normal temps and usage, so nothing there. For the first race I ran in windowed borderless, as someone suggested. But for the 2nd I switched it back to the way it was. I'll keep testing and recording and report back.
Just to follow up: the issue has gone away. Maybe because of the major up update or the switch from otter hub to rehub or both Who knows?
Do you get audio drops during the stuttering? Turing this off solved my video stuttering and my audio drops that happend at the same time
