Hello, My name is Matthew. Owner and founder of BSN Racing Co. I am an avid Race Room Racer, and I recently posted on the r/RRE reddit subreddit about how adding oval racing into race room would sincerely raise the online player count inside of race room! There is a massive crowd of people in the oval sim racing scene and I think with how great Race Room is and how its drastically cheaper than iRacing. If you guys simply added oval racing in some capacity to Race Room, I truly think Race Room would become the biggest competitor to iRacing. Here is my examples of what oval racing could look like inside of Race Room. Doesn't even necessarily have to be NASCAR oval racing. It could be UK based oval racing. For example: -BriSCA Formula 1 & 2 Stocks -V8 Hotstox -Superstox -Saloon Stock Cars -Hot Rods Tracks/Venues could be Aghadowey Oval (Northern Ireland) – Tarmac Aldershot Raceway (Hampshire) – Tarmac Mendips Raceway (Bristol) – Tarmac Buxton Raceway (Derbyshire) – Tarmac Cowdenbeath Racewall (Scotland) – Tarmac Crimond Raceway (Aberdeenshire) – Tarmac King’s Lynn Stadium (Norfolk) – Shale Knockhill Racing Circuit (Scotland) – Shale Mildenhall Stadium (Suffolk) – Shale Northampton International Raceway (Northamptonshire) EVENTS IN GAME -BriSCA World Finals -Spedeworth Superstox World Finals These are just examples. I watch a lot of the BriSCA racing and it is so unique and cool. The reddit thread I posted also had overwhelming responses of how much people would love to see oval racing! Is this at all possible. I myself would buy every car and track in the Race Room oval scene if this became a thing! If the developers do not see this forum page. Can someone inform me how I can bring this too them. I am willing to do whatever it takes! I would love to be an early ambassador to showcase this stuff. Anything I can do to help let me know!!
Just adding oval tracks won't do much (we for example already have daytona and indianapolis). But without the weird rules (stages, cautions, and so on) it is just a round track. So, there need to be fundamental changes after all to appeal to the audience.
Anyone interested in oval will be extremely happy with iRacing. It is not popular outside the US anyway. There would need to be so much work to do and it will never pay off.
Oval racing could be the greatest thing in the world and i wouldnt be happy with iracing because of their prices . But i also doubt itd be worth the effort for raceroom and would rather see the resources go towards other developments but its always hard to guess how much demand thered actually be for these things
