This must be in one of the countries with left-hand traffic. Nice road, they just need to refresh the lane markings. Some of the younger drivers act like racers and take the curves in the oncoming lane. Or, perhaps, where some are headed, the others are coming back from there...

When you're in the first 2-3 rows of the starting grid, you shouldn't really care too much about the mid-pack action, in my opinion. In your case, it might even be the front row, if I may speculate, and you'll have decent people right behind you. Come on, join the fun!
When you start lapping people things get spicier again tho But as long as the dailies are using leaderboard quali i wont join anyways so free or paid makes no real difference there. But if theres a weekly on a free combo ill still steer clear of that
