Known Issue Purchase error/missing content/lost vRP? Report here!

The refunds JF gave out were in relation to the ingame store. The vrp store is not the game store and the raceroom company has to deal with it. And they are only a few guys and deep in dtm esports currently so it takes ages to get the vrp codes currenrly. And even the store is down at the moment.

Frankly the communication from devs and shop is rock bottom abysmal. 'Esports' is an inadequate response to customers who have been left without product they've paid for. The point of their esports is to sell products and make money. The way the shop is being run, they deserve neither.

Whenever I see posting "why don't more people play raceroom" ... here's another very good reason.

 

If the vRP store is not directly connected and under responsibility of Raceroom this is just a stupid construction. Then just drop the vRP system entirely and sell through Steam instead. I won’t be buying vRP anymore. At the moment nobody does because the server is down for days already. What is our financial benefit to buy items with vRP?

Unavoidable delays are fine. Utter lack of communication from anyone in the company combined with complete contempt for their customers - 'our faffing around with esports is way more important than providing the products you've paid for, and we can't even be arsed to tell you that' ... is not okay. Steam review will reflect this experience. Credit Card company will have to be called.

There are too many options in sim racing at the moment to be treated this way.

 

You do realize you can buy content directly ingame, right? There's no need to buy vRP first. The external store just exists to circumvent the 30% Steam tax.

You get a bigger discount than if you pay through Steam. Unless you're in the UK where Steam is better.

Even in the UK you can just pay in Euros. That's what I do. I get commission free exchange rate on my card so it always works out cheaper.

 

Ok i get that you cant do anything about that, but my vRP purchase was through credit card so if i cancel it and just purchase the packs through the gameroom store and pay through steam wallet and if i encounter an issue will u guys pls ensure to resolve it???

 

Can't get access to the raceroom store page to buy VRP, haven't played for a while so I need to buy tracks. Don't want to waste money I don't need to spend...is it always down like this, don't they want my money??

 

Yeah, the website is down. But at least the difference between paying through Steam and buying vRP for Euro is quite small, so if all you need is a few tracks then you can use Steam.

It's not that close now though, the GBP pricing has changed since the last page edit April 7th.
10,000vRP is now only £51.99, not £74.99.
10,000vRP gets me all the tracks I'm missing and I would still have just under 2,500 left over to pick some missing cars up. It's a big saving.

500 = £3.99
1100 = £7.99
2000 = £13.99
5000 = £27.99
7500 = £39.99
10000 = £51.99

 

If I got all the tracks I'm missing plus the super-touring cars it comes in at 10,486vRP and I have 318vRP in my wallet. It's asking me to pay £71.95 after an 18% vRP volume discount instead of £87.74, vs £51.99 for the vRP. That's around 28% saving, almost £20, not an insignificant discount

I've just bought the new Touring Car Pack but I'm missing loads of liveries in the Touring Car Cup class (31 for the Cupra and 1 for the Opel). Is this intentional or has something gone wrong?

The 31 Cupra liveries could be the esports liveries. It looks intended. No clue about the 1 opel livery though.

 

Be careful though, I just ordered some VRP and paid for it and didn't receive an email with the codes to redeem the points yet...
