Ha, I have 2 install folders like that as well. Although, 4 of those is a lot lol. From my understanding, the higher the number, the more recent the contents within. So in your case, "R3E Install 4" should have your up to date info. Mainly graphics settings, audio, replays. and of course your control settings. Ahh, and maybe most important, the specific car setups for each track. You can open it, and see if you have data in the replay, and car setup folders. You can copy your replay files to the newest folder if you choose. I think that should be fine... although the media hub in game has a limit to how many replays it can show. Something like a max of 100? If you have car setup folders, you can copy those from the first 3 folders, and put it in the newest folder. "R3E Install 4". So the other 3 should be safe to delete then.
You can open up the "GameInstallDir.ini" in notepad or something and see where the directories are pointing to. Dedicated servers also create new folders in there.
Very tiny Emerson: a fistful of MB (~4/5MB) for #2, 3 and 4... but for example folder #1 (the one with no number) is the biggest one... Don't remember the size of that atm tho.
Its weird, in fact. I guess that's the reason why after some patches all the settings are lost. A new file is created. I would follow nate's instructions by the way.
Just an idea... Could it be that you have installed and uninstalled the dedi a few times? Like Glen wrote the dedi creates another folder in there. I haven't tried it myself but maybe it creates a new one with every install. The biggest one is most probably the one with the replays and thus the one of your actual game installation. I, personally, never had a new folder created there after a patch.
Mmmh I don't recall installing/uninstalling the dedi tool... I think these are leftovers from previous patch releases. I'll try to copy paste everything from the BIG folder to Raceroom #4. Hopefully I won't screw up anything!
