You seem to have improved it, I guess. There used to be some problem with the search engine, but for the past few days it has been working like a charm.
Indeed, the first days were a bit rough (sorry about that) but I have fixed every encountered issue and deployed massive performance improvements. I am still monitoring it but I think it is pretty stable now!
The daily race combos are now updated every hour instead of every day like the rest of the leaderboards. The welcome page shows the current daily races, which can be clicked to access the leaderboard details. Queries have also been highly optimized to make the site as fast and reactive as possible on all pages.
On the Leaderboards details pages, you can now see the Car Distribution Summary and the Entries Distribution Graph. They are folded by default.
Hello, what a wonderful website you created! As an absolute fanatic of statistics, I could lose hours in this database! Could you explain what 'Bested Drivers' means? Is it like a score out of lap time percentage and position? What is the 'Median' Value for the cars about?
Thank you man, sometimes I feel like nobody gives a shit about this website, so I'm happy to see there are some other stats nerds out there. Bested drivers is the sum of the number of entries you outperformed. For example, if on GT3 Red Bull you're 50/4000, you bested 3950 drivers. As for the median position, it's because the mean is generally is a bad metrics, so I just compute the median instead https://www.datacamp.com/tutorial/mean-vs-median
Its definitely a nice tool which is appreciated, especially since i cant navigate the official leaderboards when using my phone (which makes up 99% of the time when im not already in game anyways). I just tend to forget it exists because i dont often look at leaderboards when outside of the game
If I was smart enough, I'd learn proper programming and create a ton of websites and tools like these. I spent half of my free time in Excel sheets, but it's tedious to enter everything by hand. The thing is - many of us stats nerds tend to be busy with, well, stats, not much time left for talking about it. Ah okay, thank you for explaining. No, I'm not a native speaker. And 'bested' seems to be a valid word as well, maybe less common - but all fine.
