Hi, I go to start the game on Steams like always. Except tonight I push Play, I see the button change to Cancel and the messages about synchronization on the cloud. But then... nothing happens, no splash screen, nothing. The Steam button goes back to Play as if I never touched it. I re-validated my game files. Yesterday, I played without any issue. Nothing changed since yesterday, except a routine Windows update. Any idea?
Since the silence, I digged in with AI this morning. At least I found the reason, but still not satisfactorily. I use Sophos Endpoint as my antivirus (I get the premium for free due to my job). Since yesterday, it blocks RaceRoom from running, but it does not give me any notification or allow me to grant any exceptions. Even if I add the exclusions in the Sophos dashboard, the game won't start. However, if I disable Sophos, it starts like a charm. Of course, this is not the way I want to use it and expose my PC to online threats while I play. So I am stuck at not knowing what to do. In the meantime, I wrote to Sophos support. If anyone came across the same issue and found a way around it, I'd appreciate the help.
Ich hab die Nase voll, keine Möglichkeit eine Antwort zu bekommen . Raceroom läuft seid Monaten nicht mehr. ich werde immer auf Discord verwiesen , was soll ich damit. Habe keine Ahnung . Ist denn niemand für den Service zuständig? Ich werde Raceroom wohl in die Tonne kloppen können. Spricht hir denn niemand deutsch?
Hi, natürlich spricht hier jemand Deutsch, allerdings sprechen viele Entwickler und Tester eben nicht Deutsch. Die Forumsprache ist daher Englisch, damit dir möglichst viele Leute helfen können. Wenn RaceRoom seit Monaten nicht mehr bei dir läuft, ist das natürlich fatal. Daher würde ich dir jetzt (viel zu spät eigentlich, ich weiß) vorschlagen, ein neues Thema aufzumachen, vielleicht mit dem Titel "German - RaceRoom not working anymore". Da könntest du einmal frisch aufschreiben (auf Deutsch), was nicht funktioniert und was du schon gemacht hast, ich übersetze für die anderen kurz auf Englisch und schaue nach, was dir helfen kann. (Keine Garantie, dass ich Letzteres ordentlich hinbekomme.) Die Verlagerung der ganzen Diskussionen auf Discord ist definitiv problematisch, aber in die Tonne kloppen musst du das Spiel noch lange nicht. Since a couple days was only ABLE TO LOGIN ONLY ONCE. Countless attemps to login ended with black screen after the loading. I went through all the; mostly useless, tips on this unorganized discord. I found a website which checks server status and it reported, that raceroom servers were down almost the full day. By coincidence, I got it running yesterday evening for 2hrs or so. This morning I wanted to race : No Login, only black screen. Servers down...Now after all those years I purchased many tracks and cars from raceroom and the sim is now in fairly proper state, I can't use it because of server outages or other problems on the products side. This is very very disappointing. Oh and btw, after having purchase the BMW Carpack on Friday, I was only able to login one time to use the cars. Probably too many free players fill up the servers while those who paid for the service get locked out...? Bad situation. Will move over to other products, which is sad enough.
What website? When Raceroom servers are down you always see a lot of messages here on the forum and on Steam but there was none, so no, they were up. Have you tried a VPN?
Hi, the site is called "downforeveryone" . And no I;ve not used VPN and had paused all my websecurity software for the login. Also I used all those tips swirling around on the inet and in this on other forums and nothing works. And then, couple hours later, R3E starts as if nothing happend. Only to be down / black screened, next time I start. I use Win11 and all latest drivers for the PC and my graphics card. Tbh I use Raceroom since years and never had such troubles as right now over the past 2 weeks or so. Usually, when KW takes servers down for maintenance, they announce it also on Steam and I as a user am prepared. So no probs with that. The sim became only better over the years, despite lacking standards like day/night and weather/ dynamic track conditions. Also the 1990ties DTM and the Super Touringcars are a joy to drive, reminding me on my own RL motorsport times ( Ford Escort RS and Opel Kadett GT/E .still missing in R3E btw ) . Hence I am sad that now when the sim is in very good state racingwise, I can't login....
How do you check Raceroom servers in it? I put "Raceroom" and it says "not found". If this site only checks other websites, then it can't help with Raceroom, because game servers aren't a website.
