I'm a beginner, please help. I’m attaching a screenshot of how I can achieve this display from the Formula RaceRoom X-17 car. I’ve tried all the settings, but I can’t get it to work.

Looks like it could be onboard 1 or onboard 2 from the views you can choose from while watching a replay

I found a way to make the camera arbitrary, but now I can't make it stay with me forever. The view I configured. Is this possible? Or will I always have to reconfigure it before each race?

It turns out the game has a free camera flight mode that I can adjust, but can I save it?

Yes, it’s possible. I’ve already sent a screenshot of the adjusted view. However, before each race, I have to set it up again, as I can't find the option to save it. I hope someone can help.

    its not a default one so you will have to do it everytime ; best bet is to just learn to drive the car in the actual cockpit view ;

I used Field of view page to set up cockpit view like that and it stays like that even after restarting the game.

I used free camera movement. Through the field of view, I can’t achieve the same view; maybe I’m going to the wrong settings. Could you please help me with this? What are your view parameters?

I really want to achieve this camera view.

Where is it? What do you press? I only know of free camera in replay but I don't understand how you use it in driving mode.

    Move the camera with this:

You need to go to settings, then to Management. There is a camera block, I set the button to move it, "+" to activate the free camera.

    It was very uncomfortable

By the way, you can also bind buttons to move your seat position.

it's easy, edit the nose cockpit cam in the files.
I have all the nose cockpit cams for formula cars edited to have those kind of camera angle.
Once you find a right value, it's easy to adapt to another car, even GT, and with nose cam it will stay for ever.
I will give you mine for fx17, you will adapt it with your FOV.

How can I find this file, so that in case the settings are reset, I can always replace it?

if you want to reset it, delete it and verify steam files, the files is in the folder of the game :
    XXX:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\raceroom racing experience\Game\GameData\Cars

I will be back monday to give you the file, it's just the bonnet cam modified, it will stay for ever until you delete it for reseting.
You can make a backup for this folder in case you lost all, cause it' some work to edit.

it's my style I like, do you like it ? will take screenshots for FRX17

Yeah, the view is great! But I've only had a couple of runs on the Spa and Silverstone tracks driving the X-22. I mostly drive the X-17.
