As a sim racing enthusiast, I own a Simagic Alpha Mini wheel base. However, it fails to automatically lock to the maximum rotation angle based on the selected car model—despite trying countless workarounds, the issue persists. Meanwhile, my friend uses a Moza R9 wheel base, which achieves automatic rotation lock without any additional setup whatsoever.

Is this a problem with the Simagic base itself or a compatibility issue with RaceRoom? Are there any special workarounds to get automatic rotation lock working on my Simagic setup?

Simagic doesn't support this feature in Raceroom the way Moza does. They are aware of that, but I don't know why it takes them so long to implement it.

The only thing you can do is similar to this (the post from before Moza started supporting this feature): https://forum.kw-studios.com/index.php?threads/moza-racing-r9-base.18519/page-2#post-240674
But the default Steering lock value will probably be the same for all cars, either 13 or 18 degrees, so keep that in mind and change it manually, otherwise you can end up with too twitchy or too slow steering.

Thank you for your detailed and patient reply. I have communicated with Simagic users and MOZA users, and confirmed that the issue with the auto soft lock function of the Simagic Mini cannot be resolved for the time being; we can only wait for an official update from Simagic.

Yes, I just made the switch from Cammus to the evo pro and the default lock is 18, just like cammus.

Do you mind uploading your controlset here, so I can ad a default controlset for the alpha mini?

Hi there, my friend. After making thorough inquiries, I’ve confirmed that the issue lies with the Simagic itself — it fails to automatically adapt to the steering angle lock of different vehicle models. To achieve steering wheel synchronization, I have to set the steering angle to 1080 degrees both in the game and the driver software. Even so, the steering angle still cannot be locked properly, and the wheel will lose force feedback once I turn it beyond the set angle.

Because of this, I’ve given up on Simagic’s products and purchased Moza’s latest offering — the R25U.
