The first Special Event of 2026 is here! The RaceRoom Daytona 2.4H goes green on Saturday, January 31, bringing Hypercars and GT3s together for a 144-minute multiclass fight on the Daytona Road Course. The Daytona 2.4H offers a rare opportunity to experience true multiclass endurance racing in a structured, competitive environment. With Hypercars and GT3s sharing the track, drivers are challenged not only on outright pace, but on traffic management, strategy, and consistency over a full 144-minute race. Rating-based splits ensure close competition at every level, while live broadcast coverage adds extra significance to every stint and every decision. If you are looking for an event that rewards racecraft and discipline, this is the ideal way to start the 2026 season. 2 quick questions 1) just to confirm, splits are based on rating only rather than ranking as normally is the case? 2) are only cars/liveries from the gtr3 class allowed or also dtm24/25? If its the latter, does that then also include m4 evo and 720s evo?
Not sure if my head is able to endure three hours of driving (in VR), but this is nice nontheless. (Especially reading 'first of many'...)
Yeah the downside of endurance events is that they tend to be long. Wish somebody could come up with a solution for that
I'm ready for a 24min of Daytona Mazda Cup race. Well, I did a 2.4h Nürburgring once so I should be able to do deal with Daytona as well, right? In GT3 at least, with my current consistency in Hypercars I'd end up overshooting the incident point limit after half an hour.
Well yeah, if youre fine on the nordschleife you should be fine at daytona. Half the lap you dont even have to do anything afterall
1) Matchmaking works the same way it does anywhere else in our ranked mp. Both Rating and Reputation are factored in. 2) other classes as well
I see, might be worth updating/clarifying the opening post then (at least if other people read it with a similar attention to detail )
Balance of Performance The Balance of Performance for the RaceRoom Daytona 2.4H has been finalized to ensure competitive and fair racing across both classes.
