In the teaser, we know that Lambo and BMW LMDh will come to RaceRoom in the September update. Some speculate that other new LMDh cars and new tracks will come in this update as well. What do you think, especially about the new tracks? My speculation is Le Mans and Sebring, because both fit LMDh very well. They are even better if the Physically Based Rendering supports day/night cycle.
No day/night yet. The third car is confirmed to be Porsche, no? The fourth car we don't know yet, and I think I heard they are trying to bring a fifth car, I guess later. As for tracks, I personally have no idea and based on what Raceroom released in the past, it can be absolutely anything. Although probably something that hypercars raced on. Are we even sure that will be new tracks?
Wasn´t it said at the latest grid talk? Afair it was said "tracks", what means we will get at least two of them. My guess: Spa 2025 and hopefully Sebring. Le Mans without day/night is imo senseless at the moment
BMW, Lamborghini and Porsche are confirmed. By the end of the year we might get a Spa-Francorshamps as well (not known if in old or new form). Other than that, it is just a guessing game and I'm not that good at guessing.
It maybe wasn't said during grid talks, but it was written in their Summer Campaign announcement: "Phase 3: UNLEASH RACEROOM (September 24) The biggest update of the year is coming. New tracks. New cars. New features. A new era for RaceRoom. Stay tuned for teasers, dev insights, and more as we count down to launch." "tracks". As in more than 1.
Sebring should be included, the picture of the Lamborghini with the palm trees looks a lot like Sebring. Traxion already assumed that as well. When the Super Tourers released, J-F said that the Volvo 850 wagon is an option for the future, and as they are doing more Super Tourers right now, it could be a candidate as well. Of course, Mustang and Aston Martin GT3 would fit very nicely to IMSA, WEC and DTM, but that is rather a wish I guess. However, Aston Martin could bring the Valkyrie at the same time, so negotiations should be/have been running, whatever their result is/was. I was on my way to post something about the Super Tourers in the Sherlock thread a week ago, but it was too much speculation for me. It fits well in here, however: In a Traxion interview, Alex Hodgkinson said they were creating more Super Tourers, which isn't something new, but with the now revealed focus on the 1998 seasons, these might be the most likely additions in the future: Peugeot 406 (STW & BTCC) Nissan Primera GT (STW & BTCC) Renault Laguna (BTCC) Ford Mondeo (BTCC) Even more cars can be found in the Australian series (Alfa Romeo 155, Hyundai Lantra, Peugeot 405, Toyota Carina, Toyota Camry, Vauxhall Cavalier) and the Japanese series (Subaru Impreza, Toyota Corona, Toyota Chaser), but I guess interest in those is smaller. The great thing about this update is: we can dream of cars and tracks we want to have, and even if we are disappointed our favourite is not amongst them, we can enjoy the graphics revolution!
I first thought "ok that's probably one of those arabian desert tracks like Abu Dhabi or sth." (which I find quiet boring) but that Trailer Park in the background is sooo "murican" ....well let's get surprised...
After the major transformation of CS:GO into CS2, I have a slight, barely perceptible fear of major revolutionary changes. But if there is a great unstoppable desire from the membership for fog, flooding, earthquake during a competition, or a falling meteorite on the track - let it be. Only sometimes important essential characteristics are lost in favor of a bit more splendor. Not that I'm standing in the way of progress, I just share a few raw thoughts.
Ah yes, could be Daytona. I didn't remember palm trees on Daytona, but I found some after looking around a bit. Anyway, I assume that the announced 'new tracks' must be somehow connected to IMSA or WEC, as pairing the Hypercar release with a niche track like Anneau du Rhin, Jerez or Tsukuba would be strange in my opinion. Options from IMSA (2024/25): Sebring Long Beach Detroit Mosport Virginia Road Atlanta (Lime Rock Park in 2023) Options from WEC (2012-2025): Qatar Spa (Well...Somehow) Le Mans COTA Fuji Bahrain Mexico City
In an earlier interview a reporter asked about Nissan Primera, Renault Laguna and Ford Mondeo specifically and it was confirmed that one of those cars was worked on already.
Well, now we know about one of them at least. Let's see if there will be another one in the September update, considering the fact they are 'currently doing more Super Tourers'
Confirmed today on an Instagram post of the official page of RaceRoom. So, maybe one track would be suited for SuperTouring. I'm assuming Spa is being either reworked or laserscanned, since it has disappeared from the store since February or so. And devs nor moderators don't give much informations about that, just : "Maybe it'll be back later this year". Is it totally confirmed that there will not be any day/night cycle? With the graphic update, it could really be a thing. I think there's more chances for day/night than weather for example. It would introduce temperature management too, so it could be really nice. Maybe a driver swap? It makes sens with LMDh cars, right?
Basically confirmed. For night driving, they need deeper upgrades to the engine than what we're gonna get soon. And rain seems to be even further away than night driving, even though the engine currently should support rain. I think the devs want to do the rain properly, so it will require a lot of development resources. I also doubt about driver swaps, although I don't remember if anyone openly denied it's coming in this update...
Sorry, friends here. May I know how driver swapping is executed in racing sim? e.g. changing car control from one PC / Steam Deck to another when the car is in pit? It is exciting even for 1hr race, I think. However, if R3E multiplayer community is still small, I wonder if driver swapping can grow the community. Do you have any idea to grow the multiplayer community? In my opinion, I should not play multiplayer until, firstly and most importantly, I commit to clean driving over striking for good position. When incident is about to happen, I should slow down my car, drive my car out of track or to wall instead of crashing to other cars. Secondly, I should have enough skill to do the first goal above most of the time. In essence, I should not crash other cars even my driving skill is bad. The challenge is, how can a racing sim regulate driver's behaviour and encourage driver such that the above 2 goals can be achieved. If multiplayer lobby is full of players with different goals, the multiplayer community cannot grow for racing sim.
