To me it seems like everything. EG to buy the DTM 1995 pack just for the Alfa and skins costs more than buying the Alfa alone. DTM25 and new touring pack are also affected, I own pretty much everything else. This happened after the sale started.

I'm not really sure but I think it always was like that pack wise during sales since there is no additional discount applied to them nowadays, when they applied 25% on top of packs next to 50% of single items it had more sense pricing wise in these cases

the thing I talk about is the case where u have for eg BMW M4 DTM 2025 but u need to pay full price to get it in any other pack like DTM 23, 24 or GT3
I think all cars that has same models used in multiple packs are affected by that but I'm not sure since I have most of them, I noticed it on Callaway from ADAC 2021 and few DTM 23 cars I never bought liveries for in these "year models"
there was some "exceptions" where cars were more expensive even if it was the same model but these ones were "pay only for livery no matter which pack it is" till few days ago for sure, even after sale itself started it was like that cause I found evidence on streams and then something happened and it isn't the case anymore

if u use discord u can click on this link and follow the conversation we had with J-F about that 2 days ago https://discord.com/channels/254906072748261376/254906072748261376/1526950484588626052

I just noticed this as well with the Touring Car Pack; was around €7 for me when it was introduced recently, now it's listed as €10.29 when I enter the in-game store.
Getting more and more annoyed with KW as I am not all that pleased with the "only available during this sale period" FOMO approach in the first place, not to mention the various price hikes, pack disappearances and lack of discounts on packs during Raceroom sales over the past year or two.
Still wondering if the rebranding from Sector3 to KW has something to do with all of this.

It changed with the last game patch. Weird that prices go up during a sale but that´s they way they roll.

hard to blame them that they raise the prices a bit when everything goes up hard but these one seems like pure shop error
the problem is that it takes centuries for them to fix things and especially the ones like these
I remember in 2021 when similar error happened with 2021 Callaway from ADAC pack it took me like 2 weeks to even bring attention to the topic after which it was fixed within few days
at least this time J-F was informed quite fast but he is not the guy responsible for setting the store so who knows how long it will take to bring it back to normal or if they decided that it will be new way to sell things which would be ridiculous in some cases like GT3 or WTCR where some cars are featured in 3-4 packs and then with some servers limited to one of them

there was one interesting thing in that discord exchange though where J-F said
    whatever this means

I seem to have a form of Stockholm syndrome because I only play RR, even though I am just hotlapping and competing on leaderboards. I don’t have the time or focus for online racing, especially given the game's poor online state. Despite this, Istill spend around 20-30 euros on content during each sale period. However, how the developers, KW, RR, or whoever is responsible, interact with their customers and players is truly baffling. They remain silent, take ages to fix critical issues, are unclear about pricing, remove content and packs, and sell nearly identical tracks separately. It’s really a form of Stockholm syndrome that I still care about this game. And I do care, because I would not be wasting time typing here...

If RR is the only sim you play , then they must have been doing something right:) It’s always been underrated and still is one of my favorite sims , so I’m kind of rooting for it. but I agree the development seems a bit slow overall, even for a small studio. Some aspects like graphics were significantly improved and online ranked multiplayer system is ok , but unfortunately the participation has significantly fallen from what I saw. Not sure about critical issues , except latest vRP issues etc.

I bought the Touring Car Pack that should include the 10 seasons, or what people did not yet have. In my case the Lada Vesta 2021 is still not owned. Is this meant to be a car excluded from the sale or a bug?

According to the store page, the 2021 Lada is indeed not part of the pack, for whatever reason:

Reporting some weirdness on the LMH discount:
    1pack.jpg
I'm missing the SC63 and its 5 liveries, and so the pack is offered for 6.32€/633VRP at 78% discount.

But then, if I add the car alone which is at 50% ATM (which includes one livery) plus its extra 4 liveries, the total amount will be 4.59€/460VRP to complete this pack:
    1sal.jpg

So, is the pack discount broken for owners of the other two cars?

Not interested in buying this car ATM, leaving this in case it's an issue with the backend. Cheers

Packs aren't affected by sales (most of the time). In some cases, single items during a sale might be cheaper than packs.

Pack pricing appraently got broken/changed last week. Even with no sale discount packs with owned items should still be cheaper than buying individual items.

That 78% is the reduction of the total cost of the 3 cars and 20 liveries: 800x3 +(20-3)*29 vRP=2893 and 633 vRP is a reduction by 78%. Since you own 2 cars and liveries the actual discount on the reaming car remains 31%, since 633/(800+29*4) makes 69%.
Hence it is more convenient to buy the car with with 50%.
    Just algebra.

The point was that the discount wasn't being adjusted to the current cost of those cars during the sale (even if not fully, but within reason). There have been cases in the past where it wasn't the case, as the in the parenthesis made on MS_Racer03's statement. (At the limit, one example already discussed here was when a single car went free during a week, temporarily lowering a pack's cost, so these haven't always been forcefully static).

Just common sense and not so much about backend algebra, maybe? I'm with @Vale on this, you can't expect users having to figure that adding a car individually plus all of it's liveries still being cheaper than solely under an all-including pack during a sale, regardless if the math checks for the announced discounts. I'm assuming they'll first look to the later, as already-owned content discounts are a main feature of the store.

If you're not sure if it works correctly or not, you should always check the original discount for the pack, which you can see if you open the store without being logged in.
    upload_2026-7-28_8-39-9.png

This pack only has 31% discount (dwaltz calculated it correctly), so buying the car and its liveries separately at 50% discount is cheaper. It's not broken, it was always like that.

If we're being precise, this was never the case. 50% sales discounts on individial items never affected pack prices, but in many cases in the past the sales also offered 25% discount on packs.

Can anyone show an example with prices before/after or with current prices not matching?

I was just checking on that, yes, the 25% discount occasionally offered for packs in previous sales can help to mitigate situations as described above. Edit: In this particular case, it'd turn into just a ~0.17€ difference.

Still, a UX issue remains in that the user is presented with a 78% discount on the pack UI vs another buying option shown at 50% that is infact cheaper. As the first refers to the whole pack, rather than solely the discount on what's being bought (31% otherwise, would be easier to compare and discard against the more favorable 50% for individual items). If that was the case, probably I wouldn't even haven been moved to bring this to attention.
    Cheers

Yeah, it's confusing. The store selects the lowest discount out of all that's available, but doesn't do that when it's a pack discount vs. a sales discount on individual items.

There are a few more packs with the same issue, DTM 2020 (36% discount), WTCC 2014 (49% discount) and WTCR 2022 (19% discount).

Unrelated, I just bought VRP and noticed a concerning issue I haven't experienced before:
    Clipboard_07-28-2026_01.jpg
Right after completing the transaction, the above red link doesn't send me anymore to a page with codes (even if its formatted as https://www.raceroomstore.com/shop_en/?SID=*******************redeemcodes), it only redirects to the shop front page on another tab (I'm on current FF 153.0):
    Clipboard_07-28-2026_02.jpg

Luckily, I've received an email with code (redeemed OK), but this could have been another headache to solve via support in the unfortunate event that the backend fails to email it (happened to me before). As you all know, immediately using the link above after a transaction has been the "better safe than sorry" action for some time.

Also unrelated, but Firefox is a datamining company now, so I strongly suggest switching to another, more trustworthy, browser. Something like Brave or Zen, for example.
