I still miss something like this in the new Hud.I wouldn't use Sealhud if this is available in the ne KW Hud.Or do i miss / oversee something?
If I remember correctly, in last grid talk they said they used data, so shortly, yes, they benefited from cooperation.
u can propose features on their discord, there is dedicated channel for that they collect feedback and will add/rework things in this hud I like how it looks overally but it's still missing so many useful widgets that it's kinda useless atm for me personally but still better for casuals than this previous one that's for sure, beside the fact that performance hit seems kinda big on low end systems from what some people wrote
Would be nice SOMEONE who is an active RRE discord user would mention it for me as i have less time to follow development on other channels than the offical forum.
Just came back from holiday and installed the update and bought the new DTM content. While it looks great, my fps performance is much reduced it seems (compared to previous version). Perhaps this is due to the new hud? I saw similar reports by users on the RRE subreddit today. I hope this can be fixed, because I like the new hud, but not at the cost of so much performance (considering RRE is quite an old game/engine and my pc is quite good/fast).
If it’s only with the new cars then most not related the HUD . I haven’t noticed any performance drop but I only have the McLaren from the new DTM cars.
I definitely notice performance loss with the new HUD and it's not related to DTM 2026. I've done some comparisons at Mantorp with WTCR 2022 cars and there clearly is a decrease in FPS even with the HUD refresh turned all the way down to 30 and the virtual mirror set to "off". In terms of frame rate, Sealhud is now the superior choice for me. BTW, this is on top of a general performance decrease I've experienced since the Q3 2025 update was released.
I agree, after further testing last night I too have a performance drop in other cars☹️ Even with no HUD on
it was said on discord that both dashboards and also onboard sounds are placeholders that will be replaced in september update they wasn't able record sounds cause they wasn't able to put the equipment into cars during official DTM sessions but it should happen during test day at the end of the month
To all who have the issue I had with FPS decrease (compared to before the patch), I think I found the solution: try deleting the graphics_options.xml file (make a screenshot of the settings beforehand) in the %userprofile%\Documents\My Games\SimBin\RaceRoom Racing Experience\UserData folder on your hard drive. Launch RaceRoom via Steam. The game will automatically generate a brand-new file with factory default settings. The performance seems to be roughly similar to what I had before the update with the new hud and new DTM cars.
Experience some frame drops in vr with enabled HUD. Will limiting the HUD's refresh rate and resolution have any impact? edit: no
no weather. No day/night. no safety car. The track evolution is lacking . The damage in this game is a joke. These are all "features" that are standard to every racing game out there today except this one. These are not extra features or novelties like they were 15 years ago, these are elements of sim racing that separate the serious sims from the older games. RaceRoom is a semi-sim parading around as a real sim. Especially without decent damage and track evolution how can they claim this to be a sim?
hang on...wait this is driving me nuts! After this update, I noticed that if I select the cloud option as "Random", the game now transitions between different cloud settings during the race! BUT when I googled it to see if this was announced this update release notes, I noticed articles announcing this feature back in 2024, suggesting that this been a thing for ages! Up until this latest update, when I selected Random, it randomly selected one of the cloud options, but it never used to transition between the options in a race. I like how it does this now, but when it transitions, my game does glitches (drops frames) for a second. I'm not sure if that because my CPU is just so maxed out on the single thread or if it's a glitch that happens no matter how much headroom you have with your CPU? I get the same glitch if I use the time multiplier option.
As far as I remember, the clouds can change when the time has progressed so far that you enter a new time of day preset. So you should only see changing clouds in really long races or with a high time multiplier.
