So have been trying to get into the daily ranked races today but it hangs almost everytime, just the spinning wheel of frustration, nearly at the point of giving up on this game.
Even When I can get into ranked home it still won't let me race in the feature race(DTM2020), no racing this evening as everything I practice for ends up not loading.
two races (registered) both at Autodrom Most would not load the server. wheel would spin a bit then "reload". closed the game and looked at it as a lost cause. haven't seen any hits on my rating/rep, so my hopes are since I never made it in the server it won't register as a dnf? I was able to run the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany at Nordschleife with no issues. I read on the steam community board but can't verify that they were working on servers? nonetheless, I'll wait until tomorrow to give it another go. maybe someone can relay any news in regards to the server issues today?
As long as you were not part of the race session (or the warm-up before it), you are not considered having been part of the race, so you won't see any results and changes to Rating/Reputation.
From announcement on Discord: "Following the cancellation of the Daytona 2.4H Special Event, we want to share a brief update on where we stand. Since the event, we have conducted a detailed technical review to better understand what happened. The issue was caused by a large spike in backend queries, which significantly slowed down critical services and ultimately made it impossible to run the event in a stable way. We are currently working on an update that specifically targets this problem through a number of backend optimizations. This work is our highest priority, and we will share more information as soon as we are ready. To validate these improvements under real-world conditions, we are also planning a dedicated test event once the update is available. The date for this will be announced at a later stage, and we will kindly ask the community to participate and help us gather the necessary data. Later today, a new Ranked schedule with updated race combos will go live as planned. Since the underlying issue has not yet been fully resolved, some problems may still occur. We felt it was important to be transparent about this and set clear expectations in advance. Once again, we sincerely apologize for the disruption and disappointment this caused. Thank you for your patience and continued support while we focus on improving the stability and reliability of future events. I really appreciate you passing on that information. it explains a lot and my hopes are the issue is resolved and one can get back to racing.
I'd be glad to help out with testing. For those of us not on DC, where to look for announcements concerning such test events?
Hm, Discord is for sure the best place to find those info, but if there will be such an event you will be able to find it in the ranked multiplayer menu as well.
Been wating for 7 minutes. Was waiting before 10:55. But after the turning thingy disappeared, notinG happened and just kept on "PREPAIRING". I hope this doesn't affect rating and rep.

I have not had anymore issues since the server issues last week. have not run today yet so keeping my fingers crossed.
