    I’ve returned to RRE, after a long layoff, which I stopped playing due to the terrible gpu/fps performance.; I was never able to figure out why. GPU is around 50%; FPS fluctuates between 55-70. My rig is an AMD 9 3900xt/ RTX 3080. Nvidia settings; V Sync is off, no FPS cap, & high performance is set, I typically run a field of 24 AI. I use OtterHud, but that is it. This is the only sim, where I have awful performance; RF2, ACC, AMS2 are all fine. I really want to play this sim, it has great AI, & I bought all the content, but the performance is a game breaker. Any ideas would be really welcome. Thanks guys.

    How is it old? It was released in 2020.

    @Iain Richmond What's your monitor?

    Thanks for the replies guys.
    @FeltHλt I’ve tried without OtterHud, & there is hardly a noticeable difference, doesn’t seem to be the issue.
    @Maskerader: My monitor is a Samsung G9 Galaxy, I’ve tried running at 120hz instead of 240hz, but here there is no difference really.
    @Koly™: the 9 3900xt, isn’t the newest you’re right, but it’s still pretty capable @12 cores, base clock 3.8hz & 64 RAM, it can’t be the issue, as all other games perform well together with the 3080 card.

    This is dx9 zone drop to 60hz and see if thats making a difference

    You can also try to find a dx9 library installer from ms / if in windows you can also try forcing the os to only use your gpu , not the one in the cpu as windows can be borky at this level , right click on screen , graphics options , then its advanced , then its the last one on the list add r3e and force it to your 3080

    I only asked in case you're using something with a very high resolution. Since your monitor has a quite high pixel count, try a lower resolution, see if anything changes. Also try lowering the HUD resolution in game settings, down to 1080p or even 720p.
