I wish someone would find a nugget of information about what is happening with the constant falsehood around the UK GTR3 studio, and when we will get a graphical upgrade to this little gem of simulator... That could put it right next to iRacing and ACC. This is the only sim where I feel the car has a real feeling of weight vs the floating feeling of iRacing (where can can be sent flying in the air easily like they have no weight).
So with todays update we see Paul Ricard being renamed to Paul Ricard 2017. So same like Zandvoort. I could now say that we will soontm get a new version of Paul Ricard as well, but.....did even anything change on that track?
Simbin UK has closed, I assume permanently. GTR3 is therefore presumably cancelled, not that it was ever an actual thing anyway. There is no information regarding when or indeed if a substantial graphics upgrade will happen other than this from the official website. "KW Studios is about to enter an exciting new phase. With renewed backing we’re looking to expand our team and take advantage of the next-generation engines that can deliver the ultimate in virtual racing experiences." Which is about as vague as you could ever be.
Looks like along with the ferrari the bentley and merc are now available in the gt3 class as well (unless theyve been so already and i just missed it ). Unfortunately a bit low on real life liveries but i guess these days its hard to get any sro related liveries
Yup, the good news is these exclusives are now unlocked as GTR3s. However, the WTCR pricing model has been used so if you own the DTM21 then it costs 2 euros for one livery instead of 0.29 cents. All the car class and track packs have also disappeared from the splash screen so that´s probably a bug.
It's really cool that these 3 cars are finally in the GTR3 class But to be honest I was expecting some more liveries. I know it's not easy to get SRO liveries. But I was expecting at least some VLN/NLS/24h and some GT Asia/Super GT Liveries. At least the Ferrari has some Super GT liveries and a very nice variety of liveries in general
Yep not real happy about that either. I've been playing R3E since 2015 and never really complained about pricing but this one bothers me a lot. I bought the Ferrari for $2 thinking it was a different car and then saw the Mercedes and Bentley as well. I'm not gonna spend $6 total for 3 liveries. That's a bit ridiculous.
I hope we never get a graphics update as every sim thats gone down that route has lost all of the mechanical feeling , ffb feeling etc ... long live dx9 Andi
Looks like the new f1 inspired car wont be too long plus id need to go and compare to the zandvoort in game but kinda looks like an updated zandvoort in this picture
Not much but I think it's still an improvement: "The track has been widened at the entry of La Verrerie, the Virage du Camp at the western end of the circuit and the Virage du Pont leading onto the start-finish straight, while a new re-shaped and shortened version of the Virage de Bendor was added for motorcycle use." If you watch the new video of DDF racer about the X-22 and look at minute 9:33 you will be very surprised. Not posting a pic here as they all have been deleted on discord immediately.
So steamdb lists today's update already and if i see it correctly there are already 21 trucks in this very update! and 48 x-22 cars (+24 esports liveries). EDIT: so yes, we have 21 RaceRoom trucks in the files. Let's see how long they will take to see the store surface.
The work in progress truck was used at an on-site event in Germany, so that is why it's in the game folders. I don't think it's an indication of when the content will hit race room. But it may be some of the best vehicles to land on RaceRoom.
