I'm down to the very same settings as before so it's a decent comparison.
    Thanks for reply, Andi

Really struggling with getting this to work with my pimax crystal.game won't load in vr it just shows as a very small window on the top left corner of my monitor.have tried steam vr, openxr opencomposit and also deleted my documents folder and ran a steam integrity check.nothing works other than playing it in 2d on monitor which works fine?

I had the same, even before latest update.

With your pimax crystal, run it in balanced settings in pimax play app to run.

honestly I feel bad for people struggling here in VR

for me, there is no improvement but the Game was running very well before. surely I have upper end HW but I was cranking up Graphics settings and also increase resolution in the various VR headsets I have (PICO Neo3Link, Arpara 5k and now PSVR2)

I had a 3080 GPU before and had to use openxr to reach a solid locked 90fps at the same settings but with the 4080S, no need for any performance tuning in openxrtoolkit

The Game graphical update is not a massive improvement visually in VR but yes a nice helpful addition to get me hooked again to RRE

What's the difference between the two here?

My older one that I've not touched for several years stopped working with the update.

(Edit) - Purely going by files sizes, the second option matches what I already have which maybe implies the first (and larger one) is a newer update?

Interesting because I am also on 4080S with a 7800X3D cpu but my performance is not so good.

Do you use OpenVR ? If so, which particular dll.file. And will you please explainn how to use OpenXR with RRRE ? Thanks

The 2nd says it is for rF2. I am struggling to see any difference in performance or graphical improvement in VR but I guess the target was always 2D flat screens. I very very rarely race flat screen anymore but will take a look anyway as it looks nice in yt videos.

Lower the resolution under 4096 pixels horizontal. You can set it manually in steam vr, then restart it.
That is the maximum render resolution before you get the "small window" thing.

I just cant believe how much Improvement I got using this. Thanks a lot to the OP. I am on 13700k with 4090 water cooled system. After this open composite and dll I can run it everything maxed Quest Pro max resolution 80FPS and still have 20 percent headroom with 21 cars in grid. Thanks a lot Sir.

I am launching the game vanilla from steamvr these days

to trigger openxr runtime you can follow the OP

I was using the single file method by dropping the DLL file found in opencomposite GitHub in the bin64 folders of the game

Will you please tell me exactly what dll and open composite files you are using ? I must be doing something wrong as I am not getting half the performance you are on my Quest 3. Thanks.

I'm getting quite a lot of framedrops from CPU (12700k) frametime spikes showing in fpsVR (SteamVR + HP Reverb G2) with a RTX3080. I've tried reducing the CPU heavy settings in RaceRoom to low, and using process lasso to pin RRRE64.exe to the performance cores.

    1. Any tips?

    2. Also, what is the ideal method to launch RRRE in Steam for VR now? Do you "Launch RaceRoom (VR) in Steam VR Mode" or "Play RaceRoom with DXVK" using the -vr launch option (I can't get the game to launch this way).

    3. I assume still no open composite for non-Oculus VR?

    Thanks in advance.

13700kf here, had same issues but solved:
    1. Disable e-cores from bios and "unpark" all remaining cores in windows. (unparking in my case was only working after I have disabled e-cores) (xmp memory profile is not working since, but well worth it) This will probably solve your instability issues.
Also, no background running things, limit visible cars to something really low, overclock the cpu.
    2. "Launch RaceRoom (VR) in Steam VR Mode" should be fine
    3. I have tried open composite/openxr for Pimax but with RR it's not working. When I had oculus it was working and had a clear performance advantage. If somebody knows a way to use it with non-oculus software I'm also interested.

Hi! I'm using Pimax Crystal Light with RTX 3080. Everything on high works perfectly at 90 FPS.

If you want to try the -vr parameter, use "Play Raceroom". DXVK doesn't work in VR.

Thanks for the reply. CPU OC'd to 5GHz, e-cores disabled in BIOS and confirmed CPU not parking in resource monitor. No go for me I'm afraid. Same issue remains.
