What do I need to do to get my Quest 3 to work with Virtual Desktop and OpenVR in Raceroom? It doesn't work with the dlls linked above. When I start Raceroom, it wants to control everything via the Meta software. I use the OpenComposite Switcher and set OpenVR as the default for Raceroom, but it still starts with Steam VR. I could start it via the Meta software and OpenVR, but then I would be missing the additional sharpness controls from Virtual Desktop, and Raceroom is so blurry in comparison, even with higher supersampling values, and requires an absurd amount of GPU power compared to other sims, which is quite astonishing.

This does not work with Virtual Desktop. It will always start with Steam VR.

Ok so I followed the guide.

Previously I was using VD and steam VR, looked good but 50-60 fps (I can run ams2 at 80 and ac at 90 with OC and VD )
installed the DLL file, booted game up and it looks awful and frames are all over the place. What else am i missing ?

Is there a definitive way to get Raceroom to run in VR? I'm using a Quest 3. I know it doesn't work with VD. But the way I always used in the past to get raceroom to run was via a link cable and Steam VR, but now, for some reason, this has stopped working.
Every so often, I go to another sim, but whenever I come back to RR, I always have to spend hours messing around with the settings, hence my question: Does anyone have a definitive way to get RR to work in VR that works every time ‍♂️

Quest 2 here, I've tried many different ways, and I get the best performance using the instructions in the first post of this thread. Make sure you get the right version of openvr_api.dll (if it doesn't work, try to find a different version - I can't remember which version I downloaded), put it in the following folder:
    SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\raceroom racing experience\Game\x64\

I then run Oculus Tray Tool for a performance boost (I reduce the vertical FOV to 50%, horizontal FOV to 80% and increase the Super Sampling to 1.9 for a clearer picture - tweak these according to your hardware performance). You can use OculusDebugTool instead of Oculus Tray Tool. I run OpenComposite and use a Link cable equivalent to connect.

I have a Quest 3 and I use VD with SteamVR. I can't get it to work with OpenXR or OpenComposite no matter what dll I use, but I also don't have any Oculus software installed so that may be a wrapper/translation issue unique to my system. I don't have anything unique going on other than using Proess Lasso to disable CPU 0 from Affinity to prevent it from pegging that core. Runs like a champ. I only started playing it after the big graphics update and it has never worked with anything other than SteamVR through VD for me.

For OpenComposite to work you probably need to use the Oculus software, I use it in wired Link mode, with one of the openvr_api.dll versions from the first page of this thread, and it only works if SteamVR is disabled. I couldn't get it to work with the OpenXR Toolkit no matter what I tried. To use Virtual Desktop with Steam VR I had to revert to the original openvr_api.dll, and run Virtual Desktop's own launcher for SteamVR. Same with ALVR (original dll, and use ALVR's launcher for SteamVR).
