As William, I too most often visit the official games form for info and discussing. A little more civil and focused on game details......i've learnt my lesson over the yrs at RD talking about aspects of a game that is not accepted by that community lol
No, it really does not. If you use it properly, you may think it does because there is no sign that it does not. Try any H-shifter car like you normally do (be sure auto clutch is disabled), then start shifting without using the clutch, upshift, downshift does not matter, revs don't matter either, the gears engage after a short delay. Now try to keep your foot on the throttle and shift without the clutch...the engine will overrev for a short moment and then the gear engages...no damage, ever. I know about shifting in cars IRL without the clutch, but that only works with rev matching, I have driven dog box cars, I know how to shift. But to be certain (after a lot of discussion with guys from SMS) I even had two racing drivers trying my rig. They concluded the same as I did, the clutch does not work as intended. Most people don't even notice, it took me a while too, until I realized there was no way that I would never make a mistake. Drive a shifter car in R3E and try to get away with this kind of gear change...as a matter of facts, try it in every other sim.
The clutch works but there is no implied gear interference with improper shifting, no damage If you choose to forget this detail your never notice until you know you screwed up a shift and nothing went wrong.
I am not a big fan of PCars, but here is good a deal for all fans ... Steam Weekend-Deal - "Project CARS 2" for 29,99 € Steam store page: http://store.steampowered.com/app/378860/Project_CARS_2/
Is it worth the buy for Le Mans? As i dont expect it to come to Raceroom anytime soon but the void needs to be filled
The thread is coming back from the dead.. pCARS 3 is coming - https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/project-cars-3-suggestions.372558/page-9#post-12562764
First time noting myself thinking “yeah, whatever...”. And I was always on the defending side. Those days are gone. PC2 got even more mediocre support than PC1. And it’s lifecycle seems to be even more shortened.
