I have a strange problem I can't map the up position on the left and right toggle switches These represent buttons 33 and 34 I can map the down position (32 and 31) In windows control panel I can see they are working In Dirt Rally I can map them UPDATE I've created a new user SimBin folder and that didn't solve the problem I've installed the latest fanatec drivers and firmware for the v2.5 base and Mclaren GT3 Wheel
@MattStone I have a vague recollection that 32 is the max number of buttons you can map at the moment. I could be wrong though.
@Paul Darke I always used to be able to do it! I did update my firmware since the last time I played so I wonder if that had something to do with the problem Curious to know if any one else is having this problem
Yep.. Same problem here.. Have just recently updated to the latest Fanatec firmware and found that the 'up' on the two toggle switches now no longer work.. Probably a good spot as there's a league race tonight and I wouldn't want to be stuck with low TC on wearing tyres!
....I rolled back the fanatec driver and the toggles now work. So it seems that the new fanatec drivers have changed the button numbers It’s annoying as I loved the new ffb feel from the new drivers
I use the latest firmware/drivers on this Rim and the toggle switches had to be reassigned but only the down switches work the up ones don't hopefully S3 will sort this..
It was 7/8 and they changed to it 33/34. As written by @Paul Darke it depends on the game if they 'programmed' button numbers above 32.
Yep, this was in the release notes for v328: ...and a bit more information from further in the thread: I'm still on v311 and it's working perfectly, so I'm going with "if it ain't broke" approach! I saw in the March 2019 dev notes that S3 are working on adding support for the new Fanatec SDK, so hopefully this will allow us to map these buttons again. Would love it if we also got support for the multi-position switches at the same time
Wouldn't hold your breath..lets face it the Mclaren rim has been out for long time now and S3 haven't made any effort to get the MP switches working, and now we have the toggles switches only working 50%..and that's just one rim.
I thought there was something in the last update that was suppose to address all the fanatec changes? I just keep using joy2key - which isn't ideal but fully works.. Raceroom is literally the only sim I am aware of using 1997 windows game pad restrictions on button mapping.. I literally think it's from 1997 (not a dig). nathan
I think I’ll give that a try as I really want to use the updated driver I wonder if it is actually possible to implement the use of more buttons or is 32 the limit for the game engine or something?
