Exciting race and great atmosphere at Bathurst. So when can we expect to drive into the sunrise with white, yellow and blue headlights in R3E? This is real racing romantic! For the beginning I will be fine with the Bentley
on a slightly different note! Lots of body flexxing during V8 Supercar test today https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=10152734609619506
It was such a great race! Very exciting, especially at the end! But I want to know what happened in the last corner...
Yes, was a tough choice for the cameraman to make, but there must be an onboard somewhere that shows it! This shows the end of it: Bell definitely went wide, I'm guessing Mucke assisted him. Edit 2: After the finish, Mucke is clearly missing a piece from the front-right of his Aston, so seems almost certain to me. Was one of Mucke's slightly overaggressive races by my reckoning.
You want to know what happend in the last corner at the 12 hour race at Bathurst? There you go: Edit: no, its not the same video as in the post above, this one includes the collision
Unnecessary maneuver after 12 hours of racing. But it makes the multiplayer in R3E even more realistic
That's a handsome car. Certainly looks the part and more befitting of the WTCC grid. The Granta always looked a little out of place and was ultimately not a good enough car to regularly compete at the front of the grid. Credit to Lada for getting a race win at Goldenport last year, though. With Rob Huff and James Thompson they have bags of experience to extract the best from the new car. I think they have reason to be optimistic. I'm hoping the 2015 WTCC season is more competitive than last year but, sadly, I expect Citroen to remain the dominant force. Testing in Catalunya suggests they still have a comfortable advantage. Chevrolet and Honda look to be fairly even as per 2014 but where Lada will fit in remains to be seen as they missed the test in Spain. At least this year we have 20 TC1 cars and the joke TC2 category is gone. Should be plenty of good racing behind the Citroens.
I'm so pleased that Colin Turkington has found a drive for 2015. The prospect of him being left out in the cold for a second time after winning a BTCC title would have been ludicrous. Jason Plato is a divisive character but I think the BTCC would be a less interesting place without him. He's sometimes a tad too aggressive but anyone who got on Yvan Muller's nerves is fine by me. So that's a hugely experience line-up there but will the VW CC be competitive? I think the 2015 BTCC season is shaping-up to be one of the most interesting for a long time.
