Hi I'm trying to open the server using the Raceroom Dedicated server tools but it stays on the screen how do I solve it?
Go to steam an set "- - reset" as a launch option, then start your server. If it is still not working do it again and use another name for your server then before. When it starts succesfully, delete the reset launch option
I have this problem, can someone help me? On pc A my server is working fine but when I close that pc and start pc B i get this error (I changed the ports etc in router to the other pc)
Thank you, I got back to that screen, but the same problem persists. I'm click the new server button, i'm entering the server name and nothing's happening.
@xtrabit, sorry for the plug, but I set up dollarracing.club for exactly that reason as I sometimes got frustrated when setting up a dedicated server on my own PC too. Let me know if it's been any help to you!
are you running it as administrator? there's little to no information about what exactly you mean with "nothing worked" - what did you do/try?
Sorry for not mentioning details. tried differen browsers, deleted cache etc. tried run as admin, deleted sector3 folder and tried again, tried on win7, win8.1 and win10.. no luck. output log seems normal: Code: 2021-02-18 11:54:43 INFO Extracting game files 2021-02-18 11:54:46 INFO Launching Milkyway workers 2021-02-18 11:54:51 INFO Launching scheduler 2021-02-18 11:54:51 INFO Starting frontend on http://localhost:8088/ Maybe it needs an undocumented framework?
Any chance you didn't install it through Steam but copy/pasted the .exe itself? If so, then you might be missing the .NET framework 4.7.2
This Code: 2021-02-18 11:54:51 INFO Starting frontend on http://localhost:8088/ means your server is not accessible from the outside. If it were accessible from the outside, it would say: Code: 2021-02-18 11:54:51 INFO Starting frontend on http://*:8088/ To make your server accessible from the outside, you need to create an access file. I'm working on documenting the dedi server and you'll find more about the access file here: https://www.notion.so/Protecting-the-API-with-username-and-password-23205e67fc4845a68ec8621f22d19eff
Could you do F12 in your browser and look at the console tab and the network tab? Maybe a screen shot of both (but do a refresh of the page each time). Also, what version of Windows Server are you using? I am right in thinking you are running the dedi server on an external machine, right? The localhost screenshots are from a browser on that external machine? (Btw, maybe we should bring this to the discord chat).
i'm using a desktop machine with win8.1 now (tried different machines with win7 and win10) no external machine, just from browser.
Could you add an access file so that I can have a look at it from my end? Just PM me the IP address and the login & password. (If you're ok with that of course).
