Sry, not the Abarth but the 60s Lancia is FWD. I like the 131 Abarth even more than the Escort, believe was the car Walter Röhrl got his first Championship Title with. And if you got them right the 70s are pretty fast...most exciting I still find the Gr. B cars (and maybe Gr.A Lancia) - the ultimate monsters. Like the modern ones (Kit Cars/ R4/2000/2010) as well, but as being used to from other Rally Games and cause they're technological more advanced than Gr.B they are not as challenging but nevertheless very cool to drive. Difference 's a bit like between Gr. 5 and modern DTM with R3E.
Yes, I was thinking of the Fulvia. I also LOVE the Group B class. The Delta S4 is more fun to me than the Group A version.
The Opel cadet is the one I have the most fun with. I wish they would let us run the rally cars on Pikes peak though.
It is actually really easy to do that with 5 minutes renaming the files - I swapped out the German stages for them (temporarily) and it's great fun to be able to take the 'normal' rally cars up there and really push them. Would love to be able to run a reverse config too.
Ha, yeah, sorry, I should have written a bit more! Glad you got to check it out; any interesting combinations?
I had tried file swapping before but I looked to the cars never thought about changing the tracks. Did you figure out how to get the loading page and track names to display correctly. I enjoy the vintage cars the most I've done the full tarmac wet with the Opel, 131,mini and the mixed surface wet with the E30 M3. maybe they will give us the reverse course eventually.
No, I never got the menus sorted out for it; you can't even update the menus with new skins, so doubt it would be possible for the stages. I basically made a folder that I swap in or out for Germany or PP and made a note of which stage was which. I think Oberstein (sp?) is my full course, but I depends how you do the renaming. It will always crash at night for me, but morning settings work fine. Changing cars used to be possible but for some reason isn't any more, which is a pity.
The night option crashes for me as well. I prefer the overcast setting ,the wet road looks the best and make the minimal road surface FFB more plausible. full course with the Fulvia in the rain was the most fun I had last night.
Yeah! Very nice!! More information: http://blog.codemasters.com/community/02/new-content-for-dirt-rally/
Hey DiRT fans! Just wanted to let everyone know that ESR is running a Rally league. We are currently in Sweden a few weeks ahead of the Official WRC. The first event is 1970's class cars until this Friday at 2000 EST and the 2000's Class will begin Friday at 2100 and go until Sunday at 2100 EST. Join us here at https://www.dirtgame.com/uk/leagues/league/27058/esrally Look forward to some muddy competition!
Seems very unlikely unfortunately; a couple of interviews basically confirm no DLC and say they want to make the next game 'more accessible' - here's hoping that won't affect the solid base behind it.
the same shit like this: http://www.projectcarsgame.com/home/announcing-project-cars-2 ... so "Dirt" and "Project Cars" are not really a compromise for R3E or iRacing
So the post-development of Dirt for PC has taken the turn for the worst possible outcome: no tracks DLCs, and Dirt 2 instead. I said early on (that was in the AC forum's Dirt thread, however...) that I only would consider to pay for DLC that offers new tracks, that more cars does not catch my interest, and that a Dirt 2 is the one thing I have the least interest in. No further money for Codemasters from me. I paid 20 bucks early access for what Dirt now is. I do not complain, it was a good barter. I just leave Codemasters behind again, since their plans are totally oppositional to what I desire.
