My very first thought looking at her was, that she looks like a very benevolent version of Maggie Thatcher - Guess the Brits would have loved her
Mr. Fairman, thank you! Did you know here? She was the best, most generous and caring grandma you can imagine. But if it was about her family, especially her grandchildren, she could have kept up with Maggie easily.
I seriously thought that was an early pic of Maggie Thatcher....!!! Grandma is likely the better choice
You're a turtle, a scalawag set on wheels, strapped a rocket on the back and placed a painted eggshell on the head?
Yes, it's an 'Anonymous' lift, but I use it because I actually look like this! (Only blue when the setup doesn't pay off!)
My avatar is a game called Speed Race made by Taito in 1975. It was basically a steering game - the cars scrolled down the screen and you steered left or right to avoid them. It was the first racing game I played (way back then!!) and for 40c you got about 3 minutes. Adjusted for inflation, that's about $4 for three minutes or $80 an hour... which always makes me chuckle when I hear people griping about how expensive R3E is!!
@fischhaltefolie: Nice idea creating this thread. I chose this avatar because it has little to do with sim racing. Choosing the peahen relieved the stress of finding THE appropriate picture for a sim racing forum. And, you have to admit, she's drop-dead beautiful.
Gopher is my real life nickname, hence the avatar, which has been modified and improved over 20+ years, the wheel he is holding is my custom wheel on my T500, a Sparco 310..
Well I've always been known locally as Yeti GooseCreature since I was a youth, most believe because of the abundance of hair (and yes at 53 I still have it all, just, daren't put a comb through it! ) but in fact my first flatmate gleaned the Yeti bit from an old sit com, Citizen Smith, Woolfies girlfriends, old man used to call him a useless, long haired Yeti the GooseCreature being tacked on via Monty Python and it has stuck forever. My Avitar is a Duck actually lifted from a Fuzzy Duck album cover because I can't find a GooseCreature, don't think they really exist!
