HELP! My game wont let me join multiplayer lobbies

Hi, I am really hoping someone can help; I cant join any online lobbies as my game gets stuck in the loading screen. The loading dots at the bottom of the screen move so long then stop. I have tested my internet connection, and carried out a fresh install but still no luck.

 

Not sure if its all the new content and such but I crashed a couple times when the race was over.
