Nobody on discord seems to have an answer for this. I don't know why this is so difficult. I cannot see sparks in game multiplayer or AI. I've tried deleting my graphics settings file and starting from scratch. That didn't work. I've tested multiple cars and tracks including FRj, FR90, DTM95, DTM 2020, P2. One moderator posted up a video of DTM2020 at Red Bull Ring which I replicated with graphics on high and no sparks. Also not visible in replays. Can someone offer up a possible solution to this?
Same experience here. I tested with DTM at Red Bull Ring, then FR17 at Spa, running intentionally on kerbs, nothing. Today I went into a practice race with formula junior and brands indy after it's been suggested this combo generates way too much sparks. I filled the grid with 33 AI and watched a lap afterwards, not a single spark anywhere. I tried watching replay with my regular settings (low/medium), afterwards I put graphics to high preset, watched again, still not a single spark generated by anyone. The problem doesn't seem to be related to graphics options, as the problem persists at high settings. Could it be related to specific HW? I have AMD 7790 GPU...
Interesting. I have an AMD 5700xt GPU. Overall I've been largely disappointed with it's performance with Raceroom but that's a whole other discussion. I verified game files with no luck. Trying a clean re-install now.
As mentioned above, I’ve tried that. Twice now after the clean install. It doesn’t work. I’m starting to trying this is an AMD thing. Another guy on discord has an AMD and cannot see sparks or smoke either.
I'm using an AMD gpu and I get smoke and sparks, but maybe it's some setting in AMD's driver. I haven't made a custom profile in the gpu driver, maybe that's sth to look into if you have. Using AMD driver 21.4.1 here.
Try latest GFX driver. I couldn't see any smoke untill i installed the driver 21.3.1. Now I am using 21.5.2. The latest driver is 21.6.2 but I haven't tried ist yet. Look here https://forum.sector3studios.com/index.php?threads/no-smoke-or-dust.16588/
I just think there is a bit to much sparks going on atm. Especially in open wheeler cars.. for me they may tone down it a bit.
I have 21.5.2, no sparks. I don't think anything newer is available for my GPU, at least AMD page is saying these are latest.

After reading above messages in this topic I had to test it myself. Tbh I hadn't pay any attention to the sparks yet. Until now! I selected my NSU in the garage and went cruizing around Nordschleife. Huh? no sparks not the tiniest bit. Checking all NVidia drivers, settings, deleted R3E maps etc etc. Still no sparks... Then I tried the Formula 3. WOW!!! Sparks all over the place. Self reflection: May be I selected the wrong car in the first place?!
Apparently the FRJ on Brands Hatch indy should be sparks galore. I can hear lots of scraping sounds, but no visible sparks.
It's Multi Sampling AA. Turn it off. Once I did that, I saw the sparks and smoke. Can confirm FRj at Brands is a sparks shower. I'm running 20.45.24 GPU driver ATM. I'm a little hesitant to download the latest TBH.
Strange --> 4xAA NVidia RTX and sparks everywhere. Could it really be an AMD 'thing'? Not able to test that myself.
The driver is the reason why you don't see any sparks or smoke. Don't panic ... I have tried all the latest driver untill June 2021. They all have a better performance for my systems. Since 21.5.2 I have installed the AMD adrenaline software to. Before that version I have just installed the driver without the software because I had a lot of crashes with adrenaline.
