In online races all opponents/other cars that are direct in front, or next to me, are jittering/vibrating. Almost like they are bouncing on there suspension. When they are further away everything looks normal again. Offline everything looks fine also. Nice and smooth (ca. 150fps). I m at a loss about what is causing this issue. It is very distractive. Ping is also low at max 20. Is this a known issue perhaps? I changed every setting in RRE, but nothing i tried resolved te problem. Also, when i look at the replay from any opponent cockpit view, their whole dashboard/car vibrates, exept when i view my own cockpit cam during a replay. That is smooth again. Hope someone can help me, please
I'd say the jittering online is fairly normal because your own game always has to interpolate the position of the other cars from the data received via internet.
Thanks for your reply. I understand, but i don t think it normal. Because i don t recognise this from acc and Iracing for exemple. And i don t see it on YouTube video's of raceroon races. Bit i have no idea were to look for a solution sadly..
The lower the ping the less noticeable it tends to be - but it's still there. That said, replays of online races don't exhibit this jittering - they look just as smooth and convincing as a race against AI. I wonder if it's possible for Raceroom to do this 'conversion' in real time as we're racing.
Aahh, oke so its not just me That is good to know. I wonder if there is something that can be done about this. How does one lower a ping? Now I know its there, it is so annoying and distracts from immersive racing imo.
