Great showings, inspiring, costly, funny by some, minimalist, but always personal. Here comes mine: Thrustmaster R500RS with H-shifter and AMD FX 8320@4400 mhz, Nvidia GTX770 SLI , ASUS 27" 144hz monitor and other stuff. And off course my pride and joy, with extra racing stripes: Thats it.
I don't have any plans unfortunately - I did try working on some but they proved to be quite challenging to put together. I may well give it another shot at some point though. This will be after my current project is complete which is now on hold due to the cold weather sadly. If you haven't seen the build log and are interested in seeing more (100s of posts and pictures for the entire build and also covers the finishing) it's here: http://www.isrtv.com/forums/topic/12145-r-pod-mkii-main-project-complete-brief-video-tour-added/
LOL, "Frankenbuilt" as long as no bones are sticking out somewhere ! Looks like decent craftmanship... Here`s mine btw :
HI guys. here is my cheap ass rig that i made. just about hold up i push this up to the tv and use a car seat pulled up behind it.
I saw your tread (ThereIsOnlyOne) and like others i could say that was great working! I should be inspire of u for my future made! U should drive through the wall Rizzo, be carefull!
@Rizzo Do you drive with the in-game wheel displayed like that? It would look better without it. Very nice setup though.
Always arms off, but the wheel... thats depend of the car, there are cars not confortable for me without wheel.
So many unique and interesting rigs. I really enjoy seeing what fellow sim racers use around the world. to those who posted their pics,Thanks for sharing.
I am trying to build a cockpit, but also for other computer games(rpg, fps etc...) Thought maybe some in here may have some input for me. It seems most cockpits seem Sim racing gaming only. The two main things I am debating are the seat and what I will use for keyboard and mouse tray/arm/holder. For me these are the most critical, specifically the keyboard and mouse arm since that is what will be used for most games and computing. For a seat I was looking at this: Scat 1 Or maybe this Scat 2 The keyboard and mouse arm is a bit more difficult to find options for. Some of them are ungodly expensive, but I was thinking this would be good: Keyboard mouse arm I have never seen one in person so curious as to the stability of it. Obviously for FPS it would need to be. Also wasn't sure if it would be better to have the keyboard and mouse separate for more flexibility. Thanks
Sean, few years ago i built something.... I Know there are better forms to build your own cockpit... but can give you an idea P.D: YES, all was "recycled" from french roads
