What is a "good time" for Nordschleife? Currently the record is on 8,46,xxx but I think it will be lowered.
Jan Stange made 8.33.890 on the leaderboard, and I would bet it's not his best. And I couldn't resist: So motivating ! Edit: His time is ~8.45 with WTCC 2014, but he uses the "Get Really Real" physics model, which include full car and human damages!
I tried today Nordschleife with the Honda and it's pretty bad. For example in the fucshröhre corner (the one where you have the biggest longitude compression on the track) you don't have a chance to made it without braking, because the car is going straight (of course I steering in the corner) when it's springs compressed. Is it a real thing? I didn't see anything like this. Anybody can explain this why it's happening? I don't tried other cars yet, maybe they handle this corner better?
Where? What? P.s.: I see now...but still don't understand, why is it so hard to share this important information on the offical forum, and not only on RaceRoom's Facebook page?
Yeah it helped a bit, but still no confidence in these corners The car is not bottoming out but the same problem, car try to go straight.
I entered the leaderboard recently and agree. I find this behavior strange, first time I experience this here. I'm not used with FWD, but I ran hundreds of Nordschleife laps on other games and some tens on R3E (FR2, FR3, DTM92, Group5, GT3) and don't remember experiencing this. This is a turn where we usually have high grip cause of springs compression, no problem to take it full speed and break anywhere. Also I don't see anything close to this behavior in RL WTCC videos (1, 2, 3). I tested Honda, Citroen and Chevrolet, it happens with the 3 cars but more with Honda and less with Chevrolet. Why?
Hello, Is it possible run in Nords Competition with time of day "noon"? I think it's configured with "afternoon" or "sunset" and visibility is very poor.
Oh so we won't have this wonderful lighting effects? Have to say the track is really nice in R3E! We just miss the barbecues smelling. 8.36 IRL (WTCC 2015):
I take these corners at full throttle without any issue. Be sure to hit the apex. I only brake for the last left after the big compression. With volvo and chevy. I go test with other car
