Has 1967 F1 come up? Historic Can Am (Chapparral)!! 917K F40 street. I know this isn't a race car but would like to drive this car with a full and rich detailed physics of Real Raceroom Experience. I think RR's physics really shines with the older cars for me. Thank you. Really enjoying your sim!!
That is interesting but I guess not surprising? ACC should do good? But for me it was these cars that keeped me away from RR all these years. All these newer classes/car manufacturers feel the same to me and I quickly loose interest!
All cars among the GT3 category should handle very similarly to keep them all balanced (like real life). Sometimes, they do get boring if you drive them constantly. Then I just get on an indie classic to change it up a bit.
I suppose it makes a big difference what a guy is looking for? I'm an old guy who got his first actual computer in 2014 for a driving sim and VR. Each of them (driving, computer and VR) being an equal interest. I couldn't think of doing online racing because of my slow internet, which is only borderline now. I was obsessed with realism and read and tried everything (until I wore out my welcome in AC) and bought everything and still do. There wasn't much for VR in 2014 so my options were limited. I am doing online racing now and can understand the attraction to the newer cars but would still rather race 67 F1's or Can Am of the same ara. All the cars were soooooo unique then like the Chapparral fan cars. Now I can't tell the difference in or out until I read the badge. I wonder what class is hardest to code? I'm guessing older street cars with newest race cars (GT3) being the easiest?? But I'm not a dev!
I would say newer are harder to code (being more advanced) and older just being harder to find for coding.
No all cars should handle as there physics allow , front engine rwd, mid engine rwd ,rear engine rwd then they get bop'd so they can make basically the same lap time around a few tracks , this allows for racing , your system would allow for following... what this does though is give some cars a slight advantage on certain tracks which can be dealt with, with weight penalties imho to slow the pure muscle cars around 1 or 2 tracks .... (monza being one) so we have cars slightly better on straights , some better in and out of corners , some with shorter braking .. but overall they balance out Now back on subject Ginetta junior , lightweight low powered rwd car great learning tool and good close racing due to there not being much you can do to it Andi
maybe its a style thing , maybe its because you come from a gated community (iracing) but we try really hard here to get on with everyone and not over push any fanboyesque mental health issues we have .. we try to remember that our opinion is just that an opinion ...; so how about you give it a try , Andi
