I recently bought John Coltrane's "Blue Train" album on vinyl.. it's spinning right at this moment whoa this remastering has amazing sound quality. (not the youtube video )
Well, here is the new F1 theme. I wouldn't call it 'great', but that's a matter of taste If somebody says F1 intro song, I still think of The Chain (from 3:00)
My new favourite album: if anyone sees the vinyl edition of this album somewhere for sale... please contact me!! there are only 500 copies out there. and I NEED this in my life!
Thank you for this. I've been a fan of tribal music for a long time. And this is one of my new favorites
Yes great voice, I instantly thought of Robert Plant, my wife thougt of Linda Perry from 4 Non Blondes.
Haha, yeah. This Style of music is called "Zeuhl" .. Godfathers and founders of Zeuhl are Magma, a band formed around drummer Christian Vander and his wife Stella Vander in the early 70's. Other great zeuhl bands are (or were) Weidorje, Rhùn, Dün, Camembert (very jazzy), Shub-Niggurath..... There's also J-Zeuhl (Japanese Zeuhl) bands like Koenjihyakkei (sick), Ruins (very sick, Zeuhl-punk), Bondage Fruit, Daimonji... The music of Zeuhl is a deep and often repetetive rhythm to create a hypnotic athmosphere. and the voice used more as an instrument rather than a traditional singing voice. They often use a choir. The musical roots of Zeuhl lie in John Coltrane's free jazz movement and in Carl Orff's works. Christian Vander is a big fan of both.
